Rafael Benitez has been sacked as manager of Real Madrid after just seven months in charge at the Bernabeu. The 55-year-old Spaniard was relieved of his duties following a meeting of the club's board on Monday. Real's B team coach Zinedine Zidane, 43, has been promoted to the role of first-team boss. That's all right then.
Bournemouth really going for it in terms of staying up. Spent 18 million on a couple of strikers. Think Afobe is a good buy but not sure about Grabban.
Grabban had a good season for them before he came to us, missed dozens of sitters for us, I hope he maintains that recent form for them!
Dave, if Grabban does the same as Brett Pitman, I don't think you'll get your wish. In Pitman's first spell at AFCB, he managed a goal every 2.2 games, moved to Bristol City and in the 2 years there managed a goal every 3.4 games then returned to Bournemouth and had a better ratio than in his first spell, despite sharing duties as Wilson's partner with Kermogant.
Not quite the game and result I expected at Newcastle. Thought Bournemouth would get against West Ham while Villa had to win eventually!
Bournemouth with all of their expensive players on view went down 1-3 against West Ham, Villa beat Palace 1-0 and Newcastle get a 3-3 draw v Man U. An interesting bunch of results there.
What is the date? I thought we were still in January, not April. They do say that times goes more quickly as you get older. http://southendnewsnetwork.com/news...take-southend-united-to-the-champions-league/
Swansea winning at Everton - we seem to be able to resurrect teams' performances during and after we have played them!
