    Because Flanno has no talent.

    Ilori does.

Aye, Klopp gives the impression he doesn't suffer fools...
Could be the kick up the arse the lad needs to help him push on...
But... should we buy a CB or two... and with the likes of Gomez to comeback, he best have a stellar second half of the season here otherwise the lad will be off!

    We definitely need to buy.

Kolo is off in the summer, and Skrtel and Lovren aren't good enough.

  5. Flanno has been in a title challenging team. Ilori couldn't even get into a relegation doomed side, never mind Granada and Bordeaux and his fantasy injuries.

PS...Flanno's done well to get a professional contract at Liverpool for someone with no talent <whistle>

True, Flannagan was a crucial part of that title challenge.

Lol but good effort. I'm wise to your ways now.

Yep - I'm just surprised as to why we haven't offered him a new one as his current one expires this summer.

Must be lost in the post? After all, we should be keeping our best talents.

  9. He's due back from injury any time soon, maybe they want to see if he's recovered from his injury troubles like...

    That's hardly a show of faith ...

  11. I think extending his contract by a year despite such injury issues is more than enough faith shown. Nobody is claiming him to be a world beater here, just a very good option to have if he can get over his injury troubles. Stop being racist Jimmy ;)

His record shows that he can't hold down a place in a senior side at CB, at nearly 23........unless every coach who's ever worked with him is a total donk who can't see the 'elite talent' in front of them (including those at Liverpool) then I'd say the odds are in my favour.....

  13. Exactly. If he'd been at one club under one manager then it could be easy for him to have been underestimated. But he's been at four clubs (Bordeaux, Granada, Villa and Liverpool) and at least five managers (including Klopp) and not got much of a look in. Bit like with Pacheco who had chances under Rafa, Woy, Kenny and Brod, not to mention the loan clubs. Something simply doesn't add up about the lad.

Aye, Chelsea, United, City, Madrid and Barca should all bow to your superior knowledge when it comes to Stones.....

Just like your view on Klopp being an overated bottler <ok>

In a system which relies on energetic, quick full backs, where does Flanno fit in?

Except the only actual bid has come from Mourinho, who is now sacked for being crap

  18. He is energetic, he's not 'quick' but he's not exactly slow either. He offers solid defending, something only Clyne offers otherwise and he is more than willing to support the attack, hence his goal against Spurs when he was inside the box for a cross from the right.

Give me Flanno over Ilori every single day of the week.

I've already said I've only seen him play once - at Exeter - keep up ffs, and he looked OK on the ball but didn't look great defensively, he was shot after 70 minutes to boot.

If you can't see that Stones is a class act, then you should really stop talking about football, as you've not got a scoob. <ok>
