Ah right, it was Rodgers fault for not spotting the 'elite talent' that this lad has, I see.

When Klopp ****s him off and he's never seen in a Liverpool short again, I assume you'll be challenging his knowledge of the game and his decision making then?

    Lol you're a bit sensitive aren't you.

He's a fantastic talent IMO - he's shown that at international level, in France and in Spain.

Why would I dismiss him? How about we give him a chance?

Or we go by your logic and we bin him off straight away because he couldn't get into a relegation battling team who had already signed a player in the same position and made him club captain?

My view to your first point is

    1. I saw him in 2 u21 games when he first game and he was really all over the place
    2. He went on loan to granada and did ok but was injured very quick and that was that. he played on big game there
    3. He went to Bordeaux and got injured and got back i ntheir team when they changed systems. I thin kthey played PSG and drew? he didn't last the pace i htink
    4. The euro u21s with portugal went well for him up to QF where he got injured.

In short none of those levels are senir level prem action at all but to say he's been ****e is a bit much.

My view on point 2 is that you might well be right. Its all baout fight and those two appeared not to have much of any. I see a lot of guys from spain, portugal and South america who seem to get the hump very quick and not fight for their place. Suarez was the total opposite type of character so you never can tell... So far ilori has not impressed in terms of fight.

Given his lack of fitness.. (Ilori) if he doesn't shape up he'll be shipped out, its Klopps way or the highway!
Not taking sides... but given he couldn't break into one of the statistically weakest sides ever seen in the Premier League era leaves me with more questions than answers..
Which does go against what I've seen off the lad.. in the Euro u21s he looked a class above most central defenders.. claim on the ball, good in the air, pace to recover.. he needs to show that day in day out in training, turn Klopp's gaze towards him with 3 first choice CBs out, if he can't grab the chance now, he never will I'm afarid and if that's the case, then you need to call into question the lads attitude!

I don't know what's sadder, you trying to make out you know more about the game than I do, or you trying to make out that you've watched this lad on numerous occasions in France and Spain as if you're some sort of kopite loan scout.........

he could have got in rather than alan hutton <whistle> at rb..... its up t him now. klopp will give him a bit of time to show if he's willing. He's got to get fit... and target 3rd round replay to play and bench for us in our current predicament.

Will also add, in the few games we saw of Gomez, he's already ahead of Ilori..
Everyone wants the next John Stones, I'm hoping Gomez will do that job for us, he's got all the attributes!

I'm not trying to make out anything apart from I've seen the kid play which is why I have faith in him.

You're dismissing the kid because he can't get into the villa team.

we will see how he recovers from that injury. big young lad but needs to be solid and retain pace.

  15. Gomez was superb at the start of the season, all whilst being forced to play as LB too. I have no doubt he has the ability to become a top CB but he has a long way to go yet. Plus, we need to see if he gets over his injury too.

He couldn't establish himself in the team at any club he's been at so far, including yours.

He's 23 next month, he should be establishing himself somewhere at this point in his career.

All of which leads me to think he's probably not that good a CB.

People can comeback from these ACLs, and lot of NFL players have come back from such injuries without issue, hoping Gomez can do likewise..

LOL so again, you're dismissing based on that and not because you've seen him play and think he lacks ability?

What amazes me with your defence of Ilori is that in comparison, he's done less (at senior level) compared to Flanno (who's not done much himself tbf), a lad you are very quick to dismiss.
