It will take Klopp time to sort the wheat from the chaff. To form his side from the players who buy into, and are capable of playing the way he wants to play

It strikes me that he tries to play a system similar to M.P. For that, you have to be fit - really fit! And I think that might be why you're getting so many injuries.

It's taken Pochettino a couple of years to get the outline of the side he wants, and to get them playing his system - we're just starting to see the results now.

Klopp has admitted that he didn't know that cup games went to replays in England or that the Milk Cup semi final was played over two legs. I don't think he's taking this temporary job very seriously!

.. an interpretation that might fit a hypothesis I guess... my view is that 4th is 'there or there abouts' as far as CL qualification is concerned ... because you have made the 'qualifying' stage - nothing more until you actually get through that ... 5th and beyond is merely that ... Europey at best.

It's like saying 7th and 8th in the Championship is there or thereabouts for the Prem because you are close to the qualifying competition - the play-offs <laugh>

As I pointed out, 5th means you're there with a shout if one of the bigger fish slip up, as seems to be happening this year. 17th means you've dodged relegation by the skin of your teeth. Big difference, IMO.

Yes it's a big difference pedantically... but relatively speaking, 5th is as good as 17th for a team with the goal of getting in the top 4.

5th is a failure on the golden goose of top 4 so to speak, It's a fail on where you want to be therefore nothing to celebrate or be proud of.

5th doesn't get you into the cl and if that's the comp you're team is aspiring to challenge in then 5th may as well be 17th.

I understand spurs fans being content with consistently finishing 5th for however many years and improving as a club in general but I really don't get where the "gloating" side of it comes from tbh, it's only 5th, you're no better off (bar a few millions) finishing 7th or even 17th and winning the lc (Europa spot) you may be arguably even better off finishing 17th while gaining a cup and a Europa spot in the process.

Where does it say that we're content to finish fifth?? We want & hope to achieve top 4. To do that 5th is a tad closer than 17th!

Excuse my assumption regarding being content, jovial was the word I should've used :p

but is 5th closer to 4th than 17th? Numerically yes it certainly is.

Relatively though, it's no closer (to your goal of CL football) than 17th, bar a few pounds for final placings.

  10. However, Liverpool will still try to tempt Berahino to Anfield as a replacement for Daniel Sturridge. (Daily Express)

I wonder which part of "fcuk off!" Klipperty doesn't understand?

Of course, when Berahino comes to Spurs (as I predicted he would do), it will be yet more humiliating proof that Spurs in, now, a much bigger club than 'Pool.

That is going to hurt every single Mouser in the country.

Don't know what happened to him. At one stage he looked like being a top drawer CB. Even played for England. Then, somewhere, it all turned to ****!..
