I've just posted the stats of the injuries he had during those 2 years and the games he missed, and it equates to 10 in total Your excuse isn't factual I'm afraid. Has it occurred to you that maybe he just isn't very good?
You posted stats from a random website. I've followed his career for the past 2 years. The fact you say he may not be good without ever actually watching him is laughable. Has it occurred to you to actually watch players play before passing judgement?
So you're disputing the detailed facts quoted on that site then, as you know better? I assume you've got something that backs that up then? I didn't say he wasn't very good, as I've only seen him play once. And he looked anything but impressive against a league 2 outfit, but my opinion wasn't the point. The point was, that he's played 22 games in 2 1/2 seasons, he couldn't nail down a first team place at either Bordeaux or Grenada, and didn't even get a single game at Villa. Doesn't sound like the stats of a World beater does it?
Oh and btw @Jimmy Squarefoot, he can't be rated that highly at Anfield either mate, given that when he signed on loan for Villa, there was a purchase clause in the contract and Villa could have kept him on a permanent if they wanted to.

yes cos benteke makes the ground uneven. his shot starts straight but the ball just drifts off... it may even be a gravimetric effect due to the size of benteke's ego.

I'm sure they were all wrong, including Villa who never played him, and in fact the lad is an 'elite talent' as Jimmy knows better than all of them, as he never misses a Bordeaux or Grenada game.
he's looked ok in portugese colours. I think the player himself has to answer why he's not done anything at villa. there's a certain amount of ok someone paid a bit for him and maybe it was not sherwoood but to be out of shape when garde turns up and still be out of shape in january requires an answer. A pro needs to learn its his job irrespective of whether a manager at a current set up rates hi mor not. he should have been looking to january to escape somewhere else anyway. He's a decent player who's looked good at underage but has not kicked on.. be it injuries or attitude. He's got a very breif period now to change that and get his head down and work. If he does we will see.. if he does not he'll disappear.
yes yes but someone made the call on the last day... get him out of here. The context is the same tournament (euro u21) that he looked decent in was where he got yet another injury and as a result he not only missed the start but also the whole of preseason while other players like ibe came back early to impress. The point being these staff members at coaching level have all been binned so the lad has a fresh chance but has to give his head a good shake and get on with it.
TBF, it's not illogical is it Ilori as been **** no matter what we've done with him. I can only see him following the Pacheco / Suso school of football careers
