Ranieri says he will speak to Kramaric about his future at #LCFC. "Fantastic striker...but if he stays, he will lose another six months." Shame as he does look a talent but with that quote he isnt going to get a look in for some reason.
"I didn't choose him because I prefer Shinji Okazaki to link the strikers with the midfield, but if he stays he will lose another six months," said Ranieri. "Now I will speak with him. If he wants to stay I am very happy but in my opinion he is a fantastic striker. He scores good goals. "But in my team it is difficult because I prefer Vardy, Leo Ulloa and Okazaki. They are the first strikers. "So far he has only played a few minutes. I don't know if he wants to stay with me but I am very happy." Shame as he came here over Chelsea and Juventus as he wanted to play. He shown glimpes of his quality under Pearson but Ranieri just hasnt given him a chance for whatever reason.
That some reason as a man called Vardy He is a pure striker in the mold of Costa - unfortunately we don't play with one so he needs to play like Vardy et al does and he doesn't seem to have it in him to change.
Would love him to stay, think he could be a great striker for us! But would not blame him if he moved on, Don't think he has been given a fair chance to prove himself here. At the end of the day Ranieri knows a lot more than me.
Vardy is keeping Kramaric out the side but Ulloa hasnt really hit the heights of last year and Okazaki has been hit and miss so over 20 games Kramaric is surely worth a go
Ulloa is a completely different type of striking option ... and has been quite effective when used ... him and Okazaki as a combination gave the Spuds a real handful to cope with yesterday ... not just good in attack but great in defence ... Okazaki when closing down and Leo when anything was lobbed into our box from a dead ball situation ... I really rate Kramaric as a striker and thought he would establish himself as our number one striker at the start of the season ... but Vardy has simply blown him away playing in an offensive formation and tactical approach that just doesn't best suit a player with Kramaric's specific attributes ... indeed Okazaki is the more natural replacement in that game plan if Vardy is not fit ... We should loan Kramaric to Villa to help dent some of our closest rivals' goal differences
.. they can have what we are willing to give them and be grateful for it! .. Inler did well yesterday..signs of getting up to pace of the EPL ..
Inler's pass on his weaker foot to Demarai Gray was class It took Cambiasso time to adjust and because all the other midfielders was struggling he played through that period Inler hasnt had the same benefit due to the form of Drinkwater and Kante
Absolutely ... Inler needs games to get fully up to speed .. but rather like with Kramaric .. you can't drop the guys currently 'owning' the shirts .. .. it's a very healthy position to be in because there is no complacency - you play for your shirt week-in, week-out ...
I wouldn't mind if Inler left at all - if he doesn't want to fight for his place, he can leave and let us bring in someone else that can. That we have reached the stage where we don't need to sign a marquee player already is astounding and lets capitalise on that and build a team.
I'd like to keep him because he is getting better with each game and is undoubtedly class ... we need the cover and to be able to adapt to game situations .. he is a wonderful player to have at the club ...
The style of football we are playing doesn't really suit Ulloa or Kramaric but is perfect for Okasaki (who I think has settled really well - he's only been here for a few months!). He compliments Vardy really well and between them they really pressure opposition defences. Ulloa is good as an extra defender at set pieces but is very weak in tackles and Kramaric is talented maverick, a luxury player we can't afford to play at present - hopefully his time will come.
Okazaki's movement and skill was outstanding for his goal. He needs to work on his finishing as Everton aside all have been scruffy 2nd bites of the cherry But in fairness the West Ham goal was a top save from Adrian
Yeah the style of play makes Ulloa look a bit of a cart horse. He tries but sometimes his first touch is woeful. In a funny way, it is a good thing we have the replay as it gives players like Inler,Chilwell, gray, Benny, Wasilewski etc another 90 mins to keep them fully up to speed. Looking forward to the replay actually
In the first half as a lone striker it really did - when he had a partner though, he showed his worth. Would have liked to see him further upfield with Okazaki behind him though - he is a great finisher but how the best if he has to run with the ball.
Been linked with us today. I wanted him when you signed him so I hope we are interested. Good player though and I think he will stay with you and move in the summer if he doesn't get a chance before then.
He needs football, and his chances with us are limited. Can score really good goals, but when I have seen him, he has been a little greedy and a bit lightweight. I know that a number of people on our forum have a different view of him, and that is fine. Would need a serious run of games which I doubt you guys would be able to offer, and we certainly cant.
