    Ipswich Town v Leeds Utd

    Tuesday 12th January 2016 @ 7.45pm

Leeds travel down to East Anglia on Tuesday evening to play one of their bogey sides, Ipswich Town!!!

The tractor boys have enjoyed many recent successes having won six of their last eight home matches against the Whites and although Leeds have not lost in seven games, they have their work cut out against a team that have their sights well and truly on the play offs.

Here's a stat for you! Ipswich have completed just 61.8% of their passes this season; a Championship-low.

Bellusci looks like he has shaken off a knock, picked up in Leeds 2-0 win against Rotherham at the weekend, so I'd imagine Bamba will start on the bench.

Why is it players play well for us whilst on loan, then, when they sign permanently, they go downhill?

Carayol seemed to make an impact on Saturday, and looks set to keep his place. According to Noel Whelan, he reckons Carayol's game is taylor made for Chris Wood.

    OMFG,David Bowie has died!!!! <yikes>

    Thoughts?

Is there anyone here that would not swap 3 points for the 4th round of the FA Cup?

Morning Elland and all. Shocked at Bowies death. Grew up on his music and a few other icons queen Eagles fleetwod Mac etc.
On football Caryol showed some great touches on his debut and what a goal. Some of our usual problems still exist unfortunately. We have no one capable of taking a corner. Every single one is wasted either with mid kicks not clearing first defender or straight into goalies hands who is never pressurised. How difficult can that be. Doukara a heading or lack of is atrocious. He doesn't seem capable of getting six inches off the ground or couldn't be bothered. Hopefully we can get a couple of strikers in and we won't need to play him again. Three points against the tractor boys after all that

Morning all.... No I wouldn't swap 4th round for three points. I would regret that decision if we finish within 3 points of 6th but I just can't see it, I feel we will finish in double digits away 10 - 12 points off.

Bowie was a bit of a shock

2 Wins this week (massive ask but not impossible) and it is game on. 2 Defeats and we may as well build for next season. Not really bothered about the Cup because we won't win it but a couple more rounds, bit of cash and a building in confidence wouldn't hurt so I am hoping for a home tie that we would expect to win, say, Oxford, Shrewsbury, Man United or Colchester would be great.

Similar taste in music but, Like Shako, I was also a massive Jam fan. Was shocked to read about Bowie this morning but read that he had been ill for quite some time - just hadn't kept track of that I guess. Did you enjoy your jaunt? Was Chippy really wearing a Man U top?

Need a win, but think we will get a draw.

    Shame about Bowie.

Morning all a legend goes RIP David. I remember queing up all night to get tickets in Leeds for his Ziggy tour, 2 gigs later he broke up the Spiders at Hamersmith. That was a sad day not seeing Mick Ronson with David. Saw him at Miton Keynes on Serious Moonlight but was gutted Stevie Ray Vaughn didn't make it with him as he had died another legend gone, but Earl Slick was a great substitute. Saw him twice recently in Manchester probably 2005 and 2006 before he packed in. What an icon and got to be right up there with Lennon, Elvis etc but probably more important than them because of what he gave to music and and music genres.

Got to beat the tractor boys as Ipswich dont have the players we have but what they do have is a solid manager who can get he best out of average, a manager we should have snapped up to follow Grayson

Yep great trip Marcus. In fairness to Chippy, he removed the scum crest off the jacket but part from that, Im afraid yes, it was <doh>

Evans has been doing a decent job, he has surprised me but still a way to go.

Mick would have been great but he wouldn't have lasted with the shambles of ownership that has plagued us.

We need Cellino to sell up to an owner we can all describe as 'normal' and 'stable' and IF Evans flops then get someone like Mick in promptly.

Very sad about Bowie. One of those icons whose passing genuinely creates a shockwave.

FA Cup draw tonight, we are ball number 27. Hopefully a draw against another big club!

    Morning all

Bit young to remember the Bowie of the 70s & 80s but not too young to not know about Bowie in Labyrinth. He really is a great and I'm well shocked. Great musician and the fact he wasn't massive prick makes him more of a legend than Lennon.

On to football. 3 points see us closer to the play offs but a good Cup run see us with more money it's hard too choose. Hopefully we'll get something out of Ipswich but McCarthy is a good manager and they won't roll over

I wasn't into Bowies early stuff, great musician but Slade were my cup of cider back then.

Bowies music grew on me as time went on, shame we lost a great musician and entertainer.
