Cauley Woodrow is going to be out for 10 to 12 weeks.

An x-ray confirmed he got a fracture to the fifth metatarsal in yesterday's game and after specialist assessment will have surgery tomorrow.

All the more important now that we hang on to our other strikers during the January window.

Saw him outside the Cottage after the Sheffield Wednesday (League) game. He's up and walking - I suppose that bit's kind of obvious since it was Stevenage Road he was walking in - and hopes to start light training next month.

Saw on twitter Stockdale wishing Woodrow all the best after his injury - you must pop in for coffee he says. I like Stockdale.

Yes, Stockdale always seemed like he cared. It was a shame Felix let him go (although I'm perfectly happy with Lonergan as a replacement).

Cauley has tweeted that he's had his operation and back home - earphones at the ready for Gentleman Jim tonight.
