I keep hearing people say this is an average team, this is pretty much the same team the ended in 7th .
Team that ended in 7th minus the 2 best players and the goalkeeper and the centre back, so actually pretty much half the team the finished in 7th.
Hopefully Pelle back Wednesday and Forster back Saturday will give everyone a lift (players, fans etc). Get another ST in this window and I think we will be fine. No need to panic just yet, but I think every Saints fan is concerned, which they should be.
Even if we are on form we are a top 10 team at the most. We simply haven't got the squad and players.
Well I'd say 10th is "bang average". Therefore we're less than "bang average" at the moment. So you're right.
It was supposed to be light-hearted... But FWIW if you're not worried about relegation based on our current form- where there is very little sign of improvement i.e. could give the same match report for a lot of recent games, then I don't see how you can say you're concerned about our current form. It seems pretty arrogant and deluded to not even consider the possibility of relegation as things stand. In our next 6 fixtures, 5 teams are above us in the current league table including Manu and Arsenal away. The remaining game is Swansea away. Obviously, I'm not saying we're doomed- knowing this ridiculous season we could easily go on to win all 6! But discussing relegation or the battle as a possibility is not 'bedwetting or 'panicking' in my eyes (not your words I know, but seen them posted).
I get that. I think absolutely it's something to discuss - it just gets a bit boring only dealing with black or white possibilities though (not saying you do that, but some do).
