I think your sentence "I don't think he got it on here" sums up the real problem in a nutshell. It is a shame anyone got banned but Mike was certainly warned in public so I am sure he was in private too but, as you say, I just don't think he got it.

Which bit of "the person receiving the ban was aware of why his original short term ban was issued, had had the right of reply, was repeatedly told what they shouldn't be doing but still carried on" are you not understanding?

The reason why "us plebs" don't know the terms of those repeated PRIVATE conversations with mods is because it's none of our ****ing business. The person in question knew, was repeatedly told, and STILL CHOSE to ignore the mods ......

In those circumstances in accordance with the T and Cs the correct outcome was EVENTUALLY arrived at.... You would be the first to complain if someone's "human rights" were abused by having what are PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS made public by the mods... It would be your business if it was you were the one under sanction just like it would be mine if it was me.

A better way forward if you are really interested rather than just **** stirring would be to ask mike what all the warnings and conversations with the mods said,..... and then ask him why he CHOSE to ignore them..... Job done and move on.

Oh and having read matts post from yesterday it seems someone did complain directly to the mods and start the ball rolling. It wasn't me and I don't know who it was, it's none of my business. However it was the right thing to do in all the circumstances IMO.

If I thought for one second his behaviour would change I would reluctantly support a limited time ban (say a month). However from matts post there had already been numerous attempts to change behaviour so I believe the mods correctly believe no change would occur now.

The person in question really believes they are always right and anyone who disagrees is always wrong, he said it often enough.... That was always the underlying problem and YOU told me that!!!

Such behaviour doesn't fit within the general T and Cs of respecting each other because the opinion can never be wrong, because it is an opinion. The person hasn't been born that is superior to any other one of us, even the scots.

Morning LL. Whilst I get your point, the trouble for me is that by starting a post in the 'I am right.....' prompts the no you're wrong stance, which just starts pointless arguments and mud slinging. Just my view of course.

I think you are wrong :p

On a more serious and positive note, it means that I have now ended my self imposed ban of posting on this forum, so indeed for every silver lining, there follows a cloud :)

I'm in agreement with you there LoL.....:emoticon-0148-yes: does depend on how we write things, even no punctuation can change meanings by personal perception.

I try to use emoticons and "with respects, respectfully speaking or no malice" to show it's just an opinion or friendly reply.

Writing on forums, or in chat rooms is very similar to writing letters, it's hard to tell what emotions are behind what's written unless strong forceful words or profanities are used.........:emoticon-0148-yes:
