Absolutely. Probably the saddest bit though, was straight after she heard about the Grammy, when she told her friend that it was "All so boring without the drugs".
Haha! I think Fable wants to be slightly more inventive than Amy, who musically was quite traditional. Makes my job harder like that though! Tsk!
That's not how alcoholism works mate. If someone is intent on self destruction only a miracle is likely to make them change direction.
Yes, I didn't mean that to be quite such a flippant remark. I realize it is a tough illness. What I really wanted to say was it was a shame that such a talent didn't end up spending more time with those who you could clearly see genuinely cared about her and weren't gold digging. I hope anyone suffering something similar didn't read that as a derogatory comment.
I know you weren't being flippant fats. Fact is, very few people understand addicts. It's easy to blame 'bad influences' like Amy's husband, but addicts seek each other out; he has the same mental illness that killed her.
The problem for addicts is that the people who mean them well tell them hard truths, so they gravitate towards similar people or hangers on who tell them what they want to hear and make life easy for them (or so they think). A bit like troublesome teens who won't listen to parents and would rather hang out with mates who are bad for them. Tragedy.
Ed "Stewpot" Stewart has passed away a few days after suffering a stroke. Another voice from my childhood has gone...
I met him October 2014 on Peter Aliss' charity golf day. He compared the auction and still had a sharp wit. "It's Friday, it's 5 to 5...." RIP

Ed used to give me a lift into school in the mornings, and his daughter used to flash me her knickers in the back seat of his white roller. Lovely chap. A bit scatty, but a nice guy. RIP.
No reason why not...happens all the time though usually in dead foetuses...and teeth growing in the wrong place have been seen in humans.
