Watford have sold out their allocation for their Boxing Day game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Hornets were allotted around 3,000 tickets for the game and, despite adults tickets costing £52, the club have announced they’ve all been purchased.

WATFORD defender Jorell Johnson has today completed a youth loan move to St Albans City.

The 19-year-old Academy graduate will join up with the National League South side for the next month, having last season featured in the same division while on loan at Hemel Hempstead Town.

Under-18s striker Ogo Obi has also made a youth loan switch, joining Hemel Hempstead for one month.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Luke Simpson has signed a short-term contract with the Hornets' Under-21s, having already played for Harry Kewell's side as a trialist this season.

CHRISTMAS EVE feels like an entirely appropriate time for the club to say a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all of its supporters.

It’s a moment in the season, just before the most densely-populated period on the Premier League fixture list, that allows us to reflect on what’s been achieved so far and the challenge ahead to keep progressing, developing and growing.

On behalf of Watford Football Club, it’s my privilege to pass on our thanks and best wishes for a restful and enjoyable Christmas Day.

Everyone who works for this wonderful club has been truly honoured to see Vicarage Road awash with colour and echoing to the sound of passionate support each and every home matchday this season.

Fans who’ve travelled away from home, several thousand at a time, have been nothing short of fantastic in the way they’ve backed the team through every single challenge.

We will continue to do all we can to make supporting Watford away from home as straightforward as possible, while never forgetting our commitment to continually improve the facilities that our valued season ticket holders and home match ticket buyers expect here at Vicarage Road.

I’m sure you’ll all concur that 2015 has been quite a year when it comes to Watford FC’s development.

In many ways, as I’ve said before, the journey has only just begun. That’s certainly how we feel about this season as we look to continue to grow Watford in the Premier League.

This will only be possible with your continued support – and we thank you sincerely for that as we head into the fixtures of Christmas and then 2016.

    Kind regards
    Scott

Don Howe - was a bit surprised that I found out after the Spurs game that he had passed away. I would have thought it would have been mentioned pre-match - some acknowledgement.

Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren says he will field the strongest side possible against Watford in the FA Cup on Saturday.

The Magpies travel to Vicarage Road this weekend looking to advance past the third round for the first time in four years.

But given their plight in the Premier League this season - Newcastle sit 18th in the table - McClaren was asked if he will opt to rest key players against the Hornets.

The former England boss rejected the notion the Magpies wouldn’t be taking the competition seriously and told the Newcastle Chronicle: “I’m absolutely confident we can have a go at that (the FA Cup).
“We’ll play a strong team and every game is important. The FA Cup is as important as any other game. It’s another game we want to win.”

Newcastle will be far from full strength, however, as ten players are currently sidelined due to injury.

Shame on you ofh, stereotyping like that. Indians eat a much wider diet than simply curry - don't they?

    Yes....

    plain curry
    mixed curry
    spicy curry
    very spicy curry
    mild curry
    hot curry
    spicy and hot curry

    etc etc

    ;)

Interestingly the word curry is an English word you wont see it in India.

In passing my record was 63 'curry' meals in a one month visit.

Mind you when I lived over there I must have had such a meal twice a day for getting on for a year.
