I admit JBG has had a poor season - but last season he was in a midfield with Bulot, Buyens and Cousins. They aren't world beaters by any means - but it was a good, solid midfield. Good players thrive around good players. Our lack of creativity all over the pitch is horrendous. Where the scouting system fails is situations where they bring in somebody like Makienok - who needs wingers to hug the touch line and throw crosses in. We saw that with the harrriots last week. Last season our wingers were dangerous cutting in. We had goals all over the pitch. The shift in personells has brought a change in philosophy (hate using that term), and it hadn't worked. From the games I watched earlier in the season - it looked like we were asking JBG to play a different game to accommodate the new players. That was wrong.
Quite right super! The opposition know if they nullify JBG, we have no threat, that's why he will be double marked. Last season we had Bulot on the other side, Igor (first half of season) and Watt (second half of season) to worry about.
