"Backed every manager" Yes Tony, but not when they needed it. like January in the Premier League 2015, Neil Warnock may also have an opinion on this as well, Doubt he would answer your calls anymore anyway. #LessonsLearned
The problem is that he shouldn't have backed managers. Letting Hughes waste millions on players then Harry to waste more. To keep Harry when he should have gone after the play-off final. Even Redknapp said that he was off if we had lost. Stupid to keep him. Then to give Benny the job was just plain stupidity. I knew and was vocal about it that it would be a disaster. Then after Benny NW steadies the ship and i said keep him until the end of the season, but no that is too easy and we needed to bring in JFH (who by the way i did not want and sadly i cannot see it working). And when things go wrong and fans complain, Uncle Tony does his usual twitter cr2p saying he has done everything and leaves his usual cryptic line making fans panic. Sorry Tony but this is down to you and your cr2pness at running QPR.
Agree, with a lot of the sentiment Ellers except that we were all sold on the "Dream Manager" and made to look very stupid, Ramsey couldn't stay after that mess. Plus Harry for all his mistakes I thought suited the ethos of the club, ie we don't have the facilities so buy or loan a known quantity. In otherwords wheel & deal. The time to bang on about youth(Not that you are) is 3-5 years after the training facilities get sorted, Jimmy, I think is out of his depth but removing him I think will ensure relegation unless his replacement is well respected by the players and Les is shipped out of his current position. He got to stay until squeaky bum time. Clearing up the Steve Gallen Mess would also appease your paying customers to a lesser extent, his treatment is shambolic.
He's been naive but I think he has backed every manager. Recently, the Football League has had his nuts in a vice - it must be the longest arbitration in history. He should stop raising expectations by promises of new grounds, training facilities and just surprise us all by delivering And he should censure his Director of Football for criticising the new manager in public
Isn't he on crazy money for a manager with less experience than Ramsey? I'm sure it was reported as 3 million a year at the time. If we'd have gone for him then it would have been another expensive gamble and TF would have rightfully been roundly slaughtered if it hadn't worked. Another manager destined to succeed elsewhere but would have ballsed up with us I expect.
If football clubs were ready meals, we'd be a lasagne stuffed full of Red Rum's rotting great great grandad.
Stadium! That will be mentioned again when things are looking worse so our fans will forget about the shocking football.
Tony Tweets his thanks to fans for turning up.... one day soon he is hoping to tweet his thanks to the players
Whilst a lot of money has been spent there's been little investment i.e. in facilities, infrastructure, ongoing team development etc. The fact is we're in a worse position than when TF came in & you couldn't really have achieved less with the money spent if you tried so like it or not those at the top are rightly criticized. I think he probably has trusted the wrong people & money been put in the wrong places but that still comes down to decision making. For me me one of the most frustrating things & which should be pretty obvious to anyone is the squad is poorly balanced & has been the case for the past 4-5 seasons so end up picking players out of position or for instance playing without any striker which is ridiculous.
