    I did mine in fifth year at school. IIRC, they gave us some options and we picked the one we thought most suited us.
    I was a fluffer on the set of 'Homo Alone'. Not a bad gig. And a free lunch most days.

    Six months doing conservation work with the BTCV. Everything from fencing in the Lake District to rhoddy bashing on the Isle of Skye. Had a fantastic time. Also became a team leader for a few months taking groups out on loads of different projects.

    It all depends on what you want to do and who you do it with.

    That sounds nice. Had they been greasing up your arse for the nine days before that?

    I did mine at school. Was pretty good. I worked at a computer shop and got my laptop fixed for free and the Chinese next to us gave us all a free meal on the Friday.

    <ok>

    When I was at school a 'laptop' was your dinner in front of the TV.

    I do voluntary work at London Zoo, I was doing a zoology degree so checked out the ZSL website to see if there were volunteering opportunities and applied.

    I enjoy it but obviously pick something that you have an interest in. Plenty of companies will be happy to have you work for free <laugh>

    What were you looking to do?

    I did my work experience at British Aerospace in Stevenage. I like to think that some of my soldering ended up in Iraq or Afghanistan.

    Fallen apart into a million bits? Surely you didn't want it ending there?
