Russ is 'club captain' though. Perhaps a 'team captain' would be appointed if he wasn't getting game time. Didn't we do that once before in recent times? I can't recall under what circumstances or who was involved though.
You, Mr marknemo have an awful lot to answer for As will the NCFC board if there's truth in this: Tom Thorogood @TomThorogood17 Bournemouth ready £12m bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe, reports say #afcb #wwfc
But at least we won't have sold Grabban to a competitor for regulation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't vouch for the authenticity of the guy who's tweet I posted, (only started following him yest) but here's some idea where he may have got it from. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/01/0...eady-12m-bid-for-wolverhampton-wanderers-str/ No guarantees they'll get him - or us, but had the board considered 'speculating to accumulate' with that Grabban offer yesterday, this latest move by Bournemouth would have been far less likely to transpire
Tweet just now from Stuart Lewis, who writes for MFW Stewart Lewis @StewartLewis2 @cromercanary Maybe a game of poker going on. We don't want to sell Grabban to a rival, but may have to in order to prevent worse.
Explanation for my 4 month absence to follow but here is an update as what I know as facts. Pinto deal agreed and signed last week. Announcement held up because one party affected by the agreement had 7 days to appeal a decision made. This has now passed. Pinto has already bought a car and is looking at housing. Naismith has/is spending 3 days in Norwich this week ' looking around ' at the Clubs expense as are 2 other targets of whom all I know is that one is a CB.
This about Kone's collapsed transfer to Sunderland, it's interesting what his agent has to say! http://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2016/1/8/10735570/update-lamine-kone-on-transfer-collapse
At 70 years of age I would probably have more success if I promised not to sleep with somebody!!! The son of my oldest and closest friend holds a senior post at Carrow Road but I don't get too much from him unless an announcement is imminent but he is handy for clearing up mysteries afterwards. On the other hand there are lots of outsiders involved in these affairs such as transport providers, hoteliers, medical staff, Solicitors etc etc and if any of them are personal friends then even though they are asked to comply with normal business secrecy information can accidentally slip out.
And just when you thought the dust had settled for the day, along comes ITK once again unknown @Norwich12435678 A bid for NRedmond is very much going to happen. Tonight two London club have declared the only team interested so far #ncfc Could well be total garbage, but if the ncfc 'reserve' price of £15m (allegedly) is met, it wouldn't be the end of the world, that's all I'm saying.
I'd be gutted. He's raw, but his potential is fantastic. He's not played that many games in the Premiership. He can go from looking like a worldie, to looking lost. That's bound to happen. He's learning. Imagine another 2-3 years experience!? His technique and confidence on the ball, he looks the most naturally talented footballer aside from Wes, that we have. Just his control, his touch, his shifting the ball to the other foot. The way he sells players and moves on. He has the swagger of a young player who will be a Class top flight player if given the time to learn. I've seen loads of people slag him this season, I don't understand. People need to get off his back, and stop expecting the world from a young raw prospect. This is why the England team never develops.
i would take the 15 mil i think. Where we are currently as a club, we dont have the luxury to develop young players into worldies, and we dont have good enough players to improve and push him as much as other bigger teams do. We need survival over a few seasons building a strong mid table prem squad of decent premier league players, not a side that has a few too many too good for championship not quite enough for prem players. We can then think about big players and nurturing future worldies. Look at stoke. Ignore the years of hoof ball and thats what we need to be doing for the next few years i feel. the difference between us is stoke are a premier league side, currently we are just a side in the premier league.
I'm completely torn about Redmond. I have a lot of time for him, and it'd be a shame to lose such a naturally talented, skillful and young player. BUT, he's not the most consistent is he? And £15mil... hmm...
