You put all that there to tell us smoking is not permitted in the stadium.. Yet vapour e cigs are not deemed as smoking?
But e-cigs are not smoke they are vapour. And that charter only says smoke so Handy Andy is correct Nelly. I think you ought to right as stern email littered with smelling mistcakes and use i instead of I, insisting they rewrite the whole thing Nervy Noris. How dare that ruffian smoke 8 rows in front of you, why didn't you go and say oi don't you know who I am, I'm Red Robin and demand an letter of apology.
And you my friend need to understand that the public place smoking ban does not include E cigs unless the owner specifically includes them . My point is that the Customer Charter does not. FYI . Happy to be proved wrong UK Smoking Ban You are probably aware that the UK smoking ban put in place in 2007 effectively eliminated tobacco smoking of any kind from all public places. This included government buildings, pubs, restaurants, bus and train stations, etc. The good news is that electronic cigarettes are not included in that ban. The main reason behind this is the fact that e-cigarettes do not produce smoke. By definition, the smoking ban only applies to practices that do produce smoke. On this basis alone, it is fair to assume electronic cigarettes are, unless otherwise stated, legal in public places in the UK.
Vapour is a form of smoke if we're going to get all technical about this. Lets be honest the person smoking the e cig is likely to be an antisocial arsehole. Whether it is from an e cig, a cigarette or a shisha bong I dont want to be breathing smoke or 'vapour' as the hipsters call it. It is inconsiderate and unhealthy.
I am referring to those who openly smoke in front of everyone else in crowded areas who are involuntary inhaling their ****. I was not refering to everyone who vapes but those who selfishly do the above.
Clearly AG is a smoke free stadium DL has sent the info onto the relavent people to deal with, and remind these people in the ground. MTG says ECigs do give of smoke and that is correct and smoke is given of. Personaly signs should be put up clearly saying ***s and e cigs are banned from the stadium.
Going round in circles here. E cigs do not produce smoke. Simple as. If BCFC wants to ban them then that's OK. All they need to do is amend their Customer Charter to communicate that fact . To date they have not, so any E cig user can reasonably say I have consulted your charter and I am not banned. If the anti brigade can't understand that well there is no point in arguing with you.
Yes indeed I found this in an obscure news item issued in Aug last entitled Zero tolerance on language in family areas Read more at http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/...family-areas-2627702.aspx#OP1v7T6oy0RAyVJd.99 but it has not been replicated anywhere else and certainly not in the customer charter. The point is therefore how are people supposed to know. As has often been said BCFC are crap at communication
Sent to Mr Lloyd Dear David There has been much discussion recently on a local forum about the “smoking” of E cigs in the ground. Much has been made of the lack of any reference in your Customer Charter other than to smoking in general. Smoking bans in public places do not apply to E cigs and it is for individual property owners to include E cigs in their ban. Other than a brief reference in an Aug 2015 Newsletter I can find no reference to the matter on the BCFC web site. Could you please advise how this matter has been communicated to fans and perhaps consider something more widespread?
here it is clear as a whistle. Club received complaints after Saturday's game. Bristol City is a family club, and proud holders of the Football League’s family Excellence award. The new Family Corner in the South Stand has been designed to welcome the next generation of supporters and their parents. On Saturday the club received many complaints from parents and grandparents about inappropriate language when children were present. Supporters are reminded that we the club adopts a zero tolerance approach to bad language in family areas. Supporter Liaison Officer David Lloyd told bcfc.co.uk: "We recognise that football is a passionate sport where emotions often run high, both on and off the pitch. "However, the high volume of complaints which we received following Saturday’s game means that we have to take action. "In future, anyone using bad language in family areas will be reminded by stewards that swearing is not allowed. If they carry on, they will be asked to leave." Supporters are also reminded that the use of e-cigarettes are no longer allowed inside the stadium. Read more at http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/...family-areas-2627702.aspx#1qrmVjwfkoEmW2IT.99
Is this not what I posted a few posts ago perhaps you did not read it. My question however is if I was going to the Preston match next week and wanted to find out about E cigs why would I look in an archived news article posted 5 months ago? Common sense would dictate that it needs to be placed somewhere where I might look like the. the Customer Charter, I shall at the next match look to see whether any no smoking signs are displayed and what they say. I shall also ask a steward or two. Ignorance is no excuse but to me the Club have absolutely failed to communicate this in any reasonable way.
Says it all really !! Crap at communicating . Even their search engine cant find it. What chance a supporter
Supporters may wish to note that Mr Lloyd neither acknowledged or responded to my E mail. Says it all really. They don't give a s**t
he will i sent my email on 27th December 20015 and had a response on 5th Jan 2016. however i have said above AG is a complete no smoking stadium.
As has been repeated umpteen times Red Robin, you know that and now I know that but how is everyone else supposed to know. That is the only point at issue.
