Allam Marine were certainty funding the team last season, but not this (they may have funded them the season before as well, I've no idea).

Hope they continue doing well Hull City ladies with or without support from our owners, I'd love to see them on the telly one day v Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal or Man City. Sunderland ladies are the surprise package of womens football this year and with the likes of Notts County in the top league and relegated Bristol there would be a place for a Hull City Ladies team at the top if they had proper support and backing.

Just had a look at the women's football pyramid, they're in the equivalent of the league one (albeit split into two regional divisions) I think just one league below the WSL2, which seems to be the equivalent of the championship and then WSL1, which seems to be the equivalent of the premiership. Can you tell I'm bored on my lunch break (well post lunch break).

If they could somehow get into the WSL2 then they have one foot in the door, it wouldn't be impossible with a bit of forward thinking local backing

It's amazing there is literally no one interested in backing them financially locally.

It's a shame too if it's true, there's a massive opportunity there at the moment with the womens game taking off. Lots of people are disillusioned with the mens game, the women play without attitudes and egos for the most part, not too much diving and cheating going on in games either though I did get riled by the Japanese womens tactics in the Womens World Cup when we played them.

I don't see people going away from the blokes to the women but I do agree there's a massive swell if interest in the ladies game, and rightly so.

It doesn't take a huge multinational to step in and support these ladies. Any local business could do.

It could be the ladies themselves need a better marketing strategy to find a benefactor/sponsor?

I've watched ladies football and I know it's not like some arses make out.

Getting in and helping a team out like these would almost certainly reap its own rewards.

    Aunt Bessies?

    Kinell.

So why are they struggling? Or rather, why aren't they getting bigger and getting more exposure?

How many ladies teams are? I remember reading about the WSL a while ago but can't remember what sort of crowds they were getting.
