I don't agree with cutting corners, but after pricing up, a cup of tea is required before any actual work is undertaken.
As long as I am earning enough for my mortgage and other fees. Then have enough to enjoy myself now and again that is enough for me. No way could I work 60hrs a week like my sister does.
60 hours a week is punishing. I know a lot of people have to do those sort of hours to make ends meet, but to me that's a sign of an economy that's not working well.
A starting handle was useful when it was an addition to an electric starter....initially they let you down a lot. I can remember one snowy day when our car started after a couple of cranks whilst those with newer cars were stuffed. Would I want one again..........no!
Years ago I had an old Sunbeam Rapier and one dark night it refused to start, and the battery had died. I had to crank it in gear with the starting handle about 20 yards up to the brow of a hill so I could bump start it down the other side. Those of you who have seen the film "Ice Cold in Alex" will find this story familiar.
Don't say I didn't warn you! http://www.houstonpress.com/music/rock-and-roll-is-dead-and-even-axl-and-slash-cant-save-it-8044236
