Gyan was castigated as a money grabbing liar by pretty much every fan when he went to Al Ain...Suddenly he has a go at the club and some are thinking...Hmmm maybe he has a point. Not for me, he is what he is, A money grabbing liar who has spunked his playing career playing in front of a handful of people in the desert in a league no better than our Evo Stick Northern Premier League and he did this simply for more money.

All you need to know about Gyan is listed in his move from Al Ain to his next club... IN CHINA.

The guy was good, very good. The lad was being watched by big clubs in this country, us included, and his agent will have known that. Hard work, knuckling down and a lot of determination would have got this lad a place among the ranks of a top European side, instead he went to Al Ain in the peak of his career then onto some nomark ****house of a club in China.

This shows all the hall marks of a lazy bastard who wants the easy life and doesn't particularly love playing football.

He might have been happy to stay at Sunderland, making no effort, but his manager, whoever it was probably wasn't happy with his application. There you go, that's why you'd shove him out of the club.

A man with all the potential in the world with absolutely no intention what so ever to fulfill it. He owes our foundation a 100K but ****ed off his obligation. In all my time I've only known Com and Gyan to make a Charity pledge and u turn on it for a pathetic excuse. This is the type of person we're dealing with here, a grade a ****. I wouldn't believe a word of what the they say. Gyan or Com. Couple of wrong uns. Snakes in the grass.

Hello fella. It went ok. Stressful but starting to settle.

Com was just a good example in this case.

It was part of the contract deal when he left of Al-Ain. Gyan was offered 200k PW tax free(And pleaded to be allowed to leave as reports at the time stated) He was granted the transfer provided he pay a percentage of his tax free wages to the Sunderland Foundation. That transfer(Which was an initial loan) earned him over £10m tax free for that loan which set his obligation to the foundation at just over 100k and he ****ed it off. Great player but an evil, untrustworthy, charity damning ****. Good riddance to scum like that I say. As long as everything is ok in Gyan's little bubble, to hell with everything else.

....is the side of the argument I'm with.

If he had anything about him, he would have held out for another PL club deal. He chose easy street for a very lucrative tax-free pay day, a bit like Kenwyne as of late. Lots of talent, lacking in desire and application.

This is the point. SAFC might well have suggested he move to the middle of nowhere, but it was him who decided to go for a vast, tax-free, salary. If my firm told me to **** off to the Middle East they would get pretty sharp shrift off yours truly...

Gyan and Sess in the same team, poetry in motion, I have not seen a more intellegent player footballwise than Gyan, in my time watching the lads, but there is always a flaw in this type of player, all I can remember about Gyan leaving is that he did mention that he would be returning to us eventually, perhaps he still wants to who knows, but I doubt if Big Sam would be keen at this moment in time.

He always came across as an excitable tart to me who had just won £10 on a scratch card..

For me as a Sunderland fan, he was like a teenage holiday romance that seemed great at the time but easily forgotten 2 weeks later. I remember being at the match with my lad back in 2011 when he showed me the facebook photo of him standing there with some Arab teams shirt and that he was gone. I'm pretty sure if Daesh ever organised a football team, he would be willing to convert for £400,000 per week and happily hold aloft the Al-Raqqah United shirt....................In black of course.. ;) with a tommy gun in his mitts..

My take on this is very simple.

Gyan has a few quid in bank and maybe fancies back to Europe, but knows no club would touch him after donkeying his career away in a league of Sunday footballers, so concocts bullshit story of being pushed out.

We could have sold him to a good club in Europe had we so wished, the lad didn't like the cold and he wanted the money. He's full of ****.
