I wonder if Neil's plans for Andreu are "bring him back, assess, loan out again". With Wes, Vadis and Howson all ahead of him for an attacking midfield berth, with Naismith potentially adding another option, surely he won't get a look in? Louis Thompson has returned from Swindon too.
Apparently NCFC are be awkward as we want to sell not loan Laffs to Leeds. They want a loan with buy option. I say if they want him buy him, he cant cost that mich surely? £3.5m?
I don't think we paid as much as £3.5m to sign him initially, and that was off the back of a pretty decent season in Italy. If we make more than £1m I'd be surprised, particularly when his wages will cause difficulties for championship sides.
I can see £3.5m as a realistic valuation for Hooper who has a proven scoring record in the Championship but £3.5m is simply too high a price for Lafferty imo and I agree that £1m seems more realistic, more affordable (for Leeds or whoever else) and more likely to happen.
Chris Goreham @CGoreham #ncfc transfer update: Expecting news of a player leaving the club on loan to be announced this afternoon. Watch this space @BBCNorfolk.
Or more likely an extension for Hooper's loan at Sheff Weds - it's due to end on Jan 17th, I believe.
Weren't we in the running for this guy, too? Pete O'Rourke @SportsPeteO 3m3 minutes ago Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce says the deal to sign Lorient defender Lamine Kone is off. #SAFC
In another tweet, Goreham reckons it's not Lafferty as we're still not in agreement as to the type of deal. Hooper seems most likely, shame it's not permanent though.
