I lived there for four years. I thought most of it was ****e, TBH. Although I know they have a lot of these micro breweries there now producing some apparently decent stuff.
Yeah it's the micro brewery stuff that's nice, all the light beers are terrible but they do loads of nice IPA's and Vienna style lagers. Brooklyn Lager, Sierra Nevada stand out.
I don't know how you managed to consume enough of that crap to get a hangover. Are you sure you weren't already pissed before you started drinking it?
.. Bud suffers from a distinct lack of 'merry Inuit" involvement during the crucial fermentation stage ...
It's also wallet damaging mate. I forked out £55 for a bottle of good Amerone before Xmas but it was special. There's a half decent Barolo in Aldi for around £10 a bottle if anyone fancies a dabble.
I shop in Lidl but am not keen on their wines, I bought a St Emillion from there a while back and it was awful, I've tried a few others and they have all been poor. Lidl is brilliant but their wine selection lets them down.
... I like a good Rioja and various 'better' French wines ... we spent a week in the Aveyron region of France in the summer and the local wines are absolutely fantastic ... both in terms of taste and value ...
All the wine talk reminds me of this............ Jack: If they want to drink Merlot, we're drinking Merlot. Miles Raymond: No, if anyone orders Merlot, I'm leaving. I am NOT drinking any ****ing Merlot! Name the film?
