I cant see it. even if we do scrape a win which we do from time to time i cant see us putting a string of results good enough to keep us up and get us out of trouble.....I cant see it at all with jinx calling the shots and being rejected by prominent football managers who know what they are talking about.....Even Curtis knows there is not much chance of survival under the current circumstances but what can he do but try his best....

    A team to beat Sunderland;

    ----------------------- Ayew ------------------------
    Montero --------- Routledge ----------- Barrow
    --------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------- Ki --------- Leon ------------------
    Taylor ------------------------------------- Rangel
    --------------- Ash -------- Fernandez -----------
    ------------------- Fabianski -----------------------

Bench; Naughton, Amat, Tabannou, Cork, Siggy, Emnes and Gomis

The 3 winger system. **** loads of pace and trickery to open Sunderland up, Barrow and Rangel work well together down that right flank.
Our top scorer up front, I think Ayew would do well with the 3 wingers behind him interchanging. Could see Ayew and Routledge scoring, or Ki getting forward from midfield to get on the scoresheet (presumably Ki will be up for this).
If we need to see the game out we could sub on Cork, and Naughton/Amat.
If it's not working out for us with half an hour left we could change the game from the bench by introducing 2 goal scoring threats in Siggy and Gomis + a tricky customer in Emnes.

    Let's hope Jenkins picks this team <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

I can see us getting some results and steadily climbing away from the relegation spots.
I can also foresee that whatever happens Daiswan will be bending reality to fit his narrative and having lots of cry baby strops, flouncing off and whinging to mods. :)

Would like to see Siggy in there and Wayne on the wing, Monty can't be trusted at the moment

    ----------------------- Ayew ------------------------
    Routledge--------- Siggy ----------- Barrow
    --------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------- Ki --------- Leon ------------------
    Taylor ------------------------------------- Rangel
    --------------- Ash -------- Fernandez -----------
    ------------------- Fabianski -----------------------

It also depends on how any of our so called fringe players perform against Oxford.

0-0 or a narrow win for us if we're lucky. Allardyce has already said on Talk ****e yesterday that his first priority is to stop his defence conceding goals. They'll park the bus and hope Defoe nicks one as he usually does against us. Bore score draw imo.

Can't imagine Siggy not starting , Ayew in Barrow position and Eder up front is he's fit to go .
Couple more subs for Barrow before he starts imo.
But if Eder isn't fit , I'd go with Londons line up

The only position I disagree with here Terror, is I would have Siggy in there instead of Routledge, he's starting to hit some fine form and I would not like to disrupt that, his confidence is also up, and his work rate is excellent, agree about Emnes too having more game time, he is a tricky player that has been far too under used by Monk..........<ok>

Fat sam will turn us over with no problem if we try and keep the ball passing between each other and back passing all the time......We have to go forward with the ball more and shelvey must play a more forward role where he can try his long range shots......Best bet of the day will be 0-0 but should Sunderland get one goal then they will win as fat sam will close shop...

We must score first - that way they will have to come forward, and we will score again.

If they score first, then I think you are right Dai, Sam will get them to shut up shop and it could be a frustrating evening.....

Hard to predict, player for player we have a better side, Curtis v Fat Sam will be where this game is won or lost. We lose this and I worry for the future, we have no goals in us and fear another boring 0-0

I don't think Sunderland will score ....but if they do they still won't get anything from the game imo .....we move forward from this game , super confident about that .

<laugh>...Fat Sam cannot turn himself over, let alone us you numpty, and playing Shelvey is a none starter, we are plenty good enough to beat Sunderland, stop talking garbage, the last 5 teams we played were far better than the black cats, and we got a result at 3, with only bad luck at the Manchester teams, the last 3 times we have played Sunderland we have drawn, this time we will win.............<ok>

The pressure is on both teams so don't expect anything adventurous from Sam.
Before therir win over Villa thery lost all 5 gasmes in December and after us 5 of their next 6 are Spurs, Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd and West Ham. By the end of Feb they could be dead and buried and its our job start them on their way. 2-0 to the Swans
