Do I continue ? ........or not ? Remember, I don't do this for praise or recognition, nor do I do this with a need for others to add their tips, although they are quite welcome to. I simply send my weekly selections for fun. I don't spend anymore time compiling my selections for this site as they are worked out, prepared and sent to other places regardless, like I've done for many years. As long as I see viewing figures showing an interest rather than comments, then I'm generally happy with that. I won't be offended in any way if it's decided that it's best that I should maybe call it a day, so to speak. So guys, I'll give it a miss this week and leave it for one week to see what materialises from any comments. Speak next week guys ! Sticky for one week please any mod - @marcusblackcat
I would say continue with the thread, definitely. There's at least a couple of posters who use your selections from time to time, so for that it's worth continuing with as it's serving a purpose. I don't think it warrants a sticky any more, sometimes the thread doesn't even get commented on and when it becomes a bit of a nuisance, for some posters who use phones, then I feel this is one thread which isn't essential for being stickied. That's my thoughts anyways.

The reason I request it as a sticky every week is because it will drop down off the page within minutes if only views are registered. Comments on this forum keep threads at the top, and rightly so. In other words, if I receive say only 10 views within the fist couple of hours, it will potentially drop out of sight. Whereas when its a stcky, it gets over 50 views on average per week over the season, without any comments required, if you see what I mean. This thread doesn't need comments to show that interest is important. Also, through the many years I've done this kind of thread, many people don't want others to know they have a flutter and prefer not to comment. It's something I must respect. Some folk view the thread just out for interest, without having a bet and that's something I also respect. Nevertheless, I hear your point mate. Like I've said, I'll wait until next week and I'll do whatever the mods decide, based on the responses entered. Cheers !
Why a different thread every week? Why not one sticky bet thread to be added to as and when? Those who enjoy a bet/tips will be looking for updates anyway. Just a thought.
Your reply kind of backs up what I was getting at. It doesn't get that many views so it isn't really worthy of being stuck up, if we are being fair to everybody else that makes a thread. Look on the front page now, every thread there has hundreds of views and are on the front page because they are being used, so deserve to be there. Again though, that's only my opinion and the board will decide. Cheers mate
Way I see it if people are using your thread they should honor your time and effort by stimulating it. Keeping it active, bumping it and making it sociable. No need for it to be a stickie. Doesn't get the views or responses to warrant it. The Charity thread didn't even get pinned. Personally I think an all in one rolling general betting thread is enough. One for all. Roker Report is restarting Roker Riches tomorrow(we keep a running total of our balance, something this thread misses.) which I'm playing a part in and I'm just going to stick it on the betting thread.
Almost had that exact same bet last night, but didn't fancy Atletico because it was the cup 1st leg and they've got Celta Vigo away next in the league. Simeone is going for La Liga title again, if he does it then for me he's wiped the floor with Guardiola and what he achieved with a blessed Barca side, backed by FIFA.
I quite like looking at your tips, it might be a better idea as is suggested above to just have one general betting thread and sticky that, then you can put your tips on there and maybe a few more people will get involved.
Please continue, i football gamble a small amount most days and its nice to see what others go for. Compared to most threads this is a good one. Stick with it for me.
Not wanting any bother. Its a waste of a space as a thread. Sometimes there are 2 of them as a sticky. As a person who uses a phone. Only 20 threads on first page. Meaning 10% is swallowrd up by this. May i also add im a non gambler. So has zero interest to me. But a gambling thread i can understand the reason for one. For the masses.
Personally I don't use the thread hence I don't comment on it. I don't mind either way whether it's stickied or not but I think you could just pop it on a generic betting thread but for it to warrant a thread of its own people need to help you out with keeping it active by commenting with what their flutters are etc. Appreciate your time & effort though.
