And Zak has already said 'no chance'. If one of the Starkey boys were to play in this unlikely scenario, it would be Starkey the younger.
True Fez, but I struggle to think of any other hit records he had in the UK, he was involved with some tennis player if I remember, who was in the official naff video of this song I believe. His dad was more of a success in the UK whilst his offspring was more of a hit on the Continent I think, is Enrique still around?
I think he's rather more successful than you think, he's the worlds biggest selling Latin artist, he's worth a fortune (though he is much bigger in the US than he is here).
I went to a New years Eve do at Willerby Manor once and Marty Wilde provided the entertainment, everyone was pissed and started throwing bread rolls at him, the whole thing was a bit chaotic.
The young'un seems to be doing okay when he feels like it! The Dad leads by example: Looks like Grandad was a bit of a boy too; until it all got a bit much for him!: Enrique certainly has had more Top 10 & Top 20 in the UK, but, like his Dad, it is internationally that his enormous success is best measured. Not my taste, but can just about listen to some of it if needs be.
Which is what I indicated OLM, he was never much of a force in the UK despite his heritage and good looks.
It was his four top ten albums in the UK and his nine top ten singles in the UK, that led me to suggest he'd done better than you thought.
A bit disrespectful of an original artist from the beginning of the UK Rock n Roll era, he, along with many tried to counter the flood from the USA, Elvis and the likes, and the fact that he is still, well was, in contention long after the USA contingent had died or gone into oblivion it testament to his endearing popularity.
I think his problem was that there were a lot of younger types there and apart from Rubber Ball and Teenager In Love, nobody knew any of the songs.
I'm afraid this top ten stuff means nothing to me OLM, at one time you had to sell millions of albums, singles, EP's or whatever to be worthy of such accolades, today a few downloads or streams has the same effect on the charts and to me are worthless.
And I dare say many of those sales were of Latin or Latin American origin which I can understand, which is understandable.
