Conor Washington is a good young player. I've seen him play a few times and always looked a handful. Not quite sure what his goalscoring record is like but reckon he could do a job.
I might be wrong and I've not checked but weren't Motherwell in the Championship as well last year? I think they got promoted. There is a massive difference between Premiership / Championship football is Scotland. A lot of Scottish Premiership players struggle in the English Championship. Look at Steve May - he looked bloody ace in the Scottish Premiership but is really struggling in England. Kris Boyd is another example.
WJ. You're not being pedantic, thanks for the info, I know zip all about the player. In my opinion then he might come into the "one for the future" category, which for me is not a January buy.
No, Motherwell were in Premier. They ended up playing Rangers in a near bottom of Premier v near top of Championship.
I always remember a Harry Redknapp interview where he said that any player with talent can transition up from any league. It's not about skill, it's about their head - and that's where an excellent man manager earns his crust.
Just from what I have seen Neil like the look of the lad pacey and cool under pressure What went wrong with Erwin I don't know because I liked what I saw against Rangers it just seems he has simply not settled here
There;s no doubt that something's gone wrong with him, but Evans seems to have taken him under his wing, and going by his sub appearance there, appears to have turned the corner (in the he's now being considered for selection). I'll put myself in the firing line with you, Mike. I thought he was going to be a good player for us too. He might still, perhaps, but you've got to look at the price tag when we sign 'em - its quite a good indicator, unless you uncover a gem or a turkey, of course.
350k I believe and Cummings 500k so not much of a risk when you consider Fellini bought for 27m now being touted for 14m
You were probably mistaken 'cos you spotted their fixture with Partick Thistle (or Partick Thistle Nil as Billy Connolly calls us), and rightfully assumed it was lower league. The Jags are unusually in the Premier League (for now) and we have the constant nosebleeds to prove it! Easy mistake to make. Personally, I can never remember which Welsh Leagues Cardiff & Swnsea are in.
He played OK for Everton and Moyes obviously thought he was the bees knees but they are going to take a big loss
Here's a googly I didn't expect! http://www.squawka.com/news/reports-leeds-want-to-sign-aston-villas-jack-grealish-on-loan/565414
