Is the QPR manager's job advertised with the requirement to like Ravel Morrison?

I for one would be delighted if we pulled off this tripe transfer coup.

Ravel Morison is another in the mould of Adel Taarabt - a real game changer.

Come on JFH - get these ones over the line!

I assume tripe was a subliminal typo. :D

Well Burnley couldn't get Forest to part with Lansbury during the summer so not sure what chance we have of persuading him to join us.........Has Morrison kicked a ball in anger for Lazio? At least JFH knows all about the Burton lad even though we don't.....

Ramsey is being sent out for a Skinny Latte for Les, Americano for Lee and Earl Grey for Jimmy.

    Fingers crossed.

I could make a joke about "more midfielders" but apart from Faurlin they're all easily expendable.

In October Ravel Morison posted an image on his Twitter feed of him with the playoff trophy with QPR ribbons on it. Then a mystic one word post 'January' in a later tweet.

Lots of stories linking a return to QPR at the next transfer window at the same time.

I since read in December that the Ravel Morison deal was dead in the water after Chris Ramsey left.

As such, his appointment as Technical Director could be a master stroke by Sir Les, in brokering a deal to bring bad boy Ravel back from his Italian exile.

Whilst Charlie was out injured last time around his inspired play and goals got us into the playoffs. If he can be strictly man managed I think he could be a good fit - really nothing to lose at this point in the season given our current league position. He may also have grown up a bit over the past couple of years.

I genuinely think a journalist has read one of Ted's rambles about El Khayati and deemed it worthy of throwing into this article.

Not sure how, but I formed the impression that Mr Ted was more interested in why JFH was not picking JET Set Willy. <laugh>

I tend to get excited about any signing since it shows some sort of intent on behalf of the owners.
Morrison lit the pitch up for a few games and, frankly, even if there's excitement just for a couple of games, that would be very welcome at present.

I only want to see new signings if we offload some of our 'bigger' players. The squad as is should be plenty strong enough.

How can people possibly have forgotten about Morrison so soon? He scored a couple of outlandish goals but other than that he moped his way through half a dozen games in which he refused to play as soon as an opponent breathed near him and was clearly upsetting others in the squad. He was shipped back to West Ham in disgrace before being exposed in the press as a gang-culture bully with less brains than Sooty. Is this really what people want?

If we go for Morrison, it's just another attempt at a quick fix - bringing someone in with a **** personality who once showed some promise on the pitch.

It doesn't matter that he was cleared of threatening to throw acid in someone's face and have her killed. It doesn't matter that he was cleared of assaulting his girlfriend and her mother. The fact that he'd already admitted witness intimidation in an earlier case shows what kind of character he is, and quite probably, why the later charges did not stick. Do we really want him representing our club?

I want a bunch of footballers playing attractive football, lifting my backside off the seat with some impressive fare.

Last time that happened was Brighton at home. A great match. It was exciting and felt like a win, such was the skill and desire on display.

GoldhawkRd, you make a moral judgement that I cannot defend and one that hadn't come into my thought process.

    Best I explain myself then.

Like most supporters, I'm yearning for a change in playing personnel that will reignite that spirit I describe above. I believe that the likes of Ákos Buzsáky, Wayne Routledge, Adel Taarabt, Niko Kranjčar, Ravel Morrison, and players of that ilk can deliver it.

I understand where you're coming from, from a football perspective, Sku. For me, it's 50/50 whether there's be an advantage on the pitch. But the difference in character between Morrison and Taraabt is that Morrison is a wannabe gangster and Adel is a self-destructive prima donna that eats too much

I agree. I think that attitude / education plays a key part too.

I think both players are skilled football-wise, but lack clarity of judgement away from the pitch that ultimately undermines their on-field value.

Isn't it just so, that a high number of players that harbour the most outrageous talent also have a maverick sense of judgement.

I think the problem with Morrison is he hasn't learnt from his mistakes, if someone like Fergie couldn't make him see sense when he was at Man Utd then no-one could. The fact that every club he's been at wants to get shot of him tells you all you need to know...
