If we have Andros Townsend money available, I'd really prefer that we spend it on someone other than Andros Townsend.

 

You must learn from history. Do you remember the last player we bought from Tottenham - a goally with great promise if I remember. You should only get bitten once then you bite back only harder.

Quality player destined for one of Europe's top sides; not too sure we have the pulling power for a player of his potential.

 

Worth a punt though - we'd be able to double/triple his wages and give him a bigger stage (cos that's what we do!) I'd also look at Carillo.

Not played that well since he played us though. He's played 24 games scoring 4 with one assist.

Agreed, but why the top six aren't putting pressure on Stoke to steal him (amongst others), well that I don't get. There's a lot of very good players at very average (no disrespect as I count us as well) clubs this year, where the hell is the feeding frenzy hey, where?

 

Maybe Bojan has learnt from being at one of the biggest clubs in the world that it isn't all it's cracked up to be. That level of pressure isn't for everyone, and he was burnt by it. So he hasn't got his agent agitating for a move. As let's face it, that's all that's happening in all the other cases - it's the agent-player interplay to produce big paydays that is driving it.

It's crazy to offer that kind of money for him, and even more crazy to reject it.

We seem to go after a different type of player shall we say lower profile despite being of a similar size to most of those clubs
