Seen it advertised on TV in the UK.
Saw it had Alexa Davalos in it, which made me interested. :)

Nothing with either mate but like any service once you catch up on anything in the library you like, its paying to wait for more stuff to be added.

Although both seemed to be increasing their own produced content quite a lot now. A lot of which is good.

I have both..one you pay a yearly subscription is 79 i think and Netflix 5.99 a month up depending on how many devices you want it on.

Amazon unlike Netflix allow you to rent or buy new movies (not cinema new). You also get Prime membersip for deliveries and if you have a kindle a limited free book service.

Both cheaper combined than sky movies and if you use US dns codes on your netflix you will get even more content...

I have a service that has more content than all the other subscription services combined, and is a lot cheaper.

Like I said, if they put everything in one place I will subscribe, but I aint paying for multiple services, they can piss off.

I hated the Prime set up when I tried it for free, Netflix I love. It's just easy to use and has a lot of good films and TV.

I have noted the vast disparagy between sky fees and both services.

it makes zero sense to pay for sky movies.... to me anyway. most of what i'd want to see are older films anyway.

e.g. could i see say all 6 starwars movies sky have been blabbing about on either? Could i see all the war movies that were not shown this christmas that shoudl have been.

could i see films that are what 10 year sold? 5 years old?

what content would i really want to see....

Sky have fought back against these services with their box set section which is part of the standard package. It's good to be fair with full box sets available of some good programmes.

I would want at least 2 set ups of netflix if i got it on tablet and tv... prob on laptop too travelling maybe. thats be 7.99 right?

would amzon allow that many devices for the same fee?

    Definitely.
That's been the case for about 15 years though mate.
Movies are usually on Torrent *cough* I mean Bluray, before they are on Sky anyway, and all Sky does is repeat the same movies over and over again.
The days of Broadcast TV will be over in the next decade, believe me. Its all going to be On Demand. Except for Live Events (Sports games, Concerts), its makes no sense to broadcast when you can just watch it when you want it.

Oh One thing that pissed me off, I saw on my Sky menu the other day that it was advertising to Pre-order Star Wars The Force Awakens for £14.99!
This was when it had only been in the cinema for like a week, or 10 days! ****ing madness.
Not just games companies that are after the Pre Order buck now, its TV companies too.
    Pisses me off.

With Netflix you can have it on as many devices as you like but only 2 watching at a time with the standard package £5.99, you can change those devices at any time.

I don't like watching TV in a web browser and use Netflix through my smart tv, my kids use it through Playstations and XBox and my yongest on a tablet.

I don't know if you can do the smart tv or console thing with Amazon?

its "ok" I have it set up.

I have already been through it and find it limited. The movies are all requiring sky movies and those are on constant repeat anyway... the rest are on the sky+HD box but the thing is.......... there's just the few channels which are on offer and the stuff comes and goes.

I don't consider it a fight back... The kids are doing sons of anarchy right now.. they have a stupid thing where they down load every ****ing epsiode and block the box along with their soap crap.

I hate going in and downloading 1 or 2 shows then finding the sky idiots take the set off the service too.

Amazon has a lot more of the "classic" war movies, westerns etc say pre 1970's

Netflix would concentrate more on series and depending on which version you watch it has a lot of classic series from 80's on too.

They both have hundreds of movies from 1 to 40 years old.

TBF to sky they are the only ones to have forked out so you can watch the star wars movies as part of normal prescription.

Do you have a playstation or tablet? You can sign up to both for a month for free to see which you prefer.

As love says the format can be good or bad depending on device used. My smart tv has inbuilt netflix but its clunky to navigate. I put US netflix on it as it holds the dns codes for longer. I have amazon and uk netflix on fire stick and ps4. The ps4 layout is the easiest to use for both.

I just don't get that one, they did the same with Spectre. Pre-order a few days after you've seen it in the cinema and wait six months to be able to download and have the DVD, why? Why not just wait till the DVD is out or if you really want it as soon as it comes out Pre-order a week before, its not like there isn't enough places to pre-order movies from these days.

I hear Netflix is pretty poor for films these days, that they've gone for original series instead.
