Just highlighted the bit that people were screaming about. Why isnt he playing wah wah wah Striker pleased to score first goal in English football.... Adama Diomande admitted there was an element of good fortune about his winner against Queens Park Rangers on Friday, but insisted that as a striker you have to be in the right place to take advantage of any breaks that may come your way. Diomande struck in the final minute at Loftus Road, taking advantage of a mix-up between Rangers goalkeeper Robert Green and defender Clint Hill to divert the ball into the net and earn the Tigers a 2-1 win. “I saw Sam Clucas going down the left and knew that the cross would be coming in,” said Diomande, who was delighted to get his name on the scoresheet for the first time in English football. “I arrived late into the box and I don’t really know if their two players crashed into each other, but you could feel something happening. The ball just hit me and went into the goal. “Of course there was a little bit of luck for us but you sometimes need that, especially when you’re looking for your first goal at a new club and that was the most important thing. “It feels great to get my first goal, especially after being out for four months. I’m very happy to get to this point and I’m happy for the team that we got three points because that is the best feeling.” Having arrived at the KC Stadium carrying a groin injury at the end of the summer transfer window, Diomande has only made a return to action in the last month with brief cameo appearances from the bench. But, having enjoyed a first pain-free week both in training and playing, the Norwegian striker feels he is now ready to push for a first Tigers start. “I’m not at 100 per cent yet, but this week is the first week that I haven’t felt pain in the groin,” added Diomande. “Step by step I’m working towards taking a place in the team and when my chance comes I need to take it. “I feel ready to do that. I’m ready any time the manager wants to pick me.”
Groin injuries are like that - even when they don't seem too bad they can take ages to clear up. Glad he's not been rushed.
I think folk were asking the question, not screaming anything, and I cannot see why the club could not offer this explanation a lot earlier - or, perhaps, you in your never-ending false criticism of other supporters might be able to offer us another of your well thought through insights?
He's been doing that a lot recently, slating people for their opinions instead of putting his own forward. Think he needs to go back to the comfort of the C.I. farts forum
The irony is other players have been rushed like Hernandez and Meyler seems to be on the pitch if he can put one foot in front of the other
You're the stalker, Chazz; you constantly stalk and abuse every poster whose opinion you disagree with, more frequently than not using half-truths and just plain nonsense to try and provoke a reaction, why? I noticed you liked Sterling's post about someone ****ing a player's Mrs, you have anonymity on here, as does Sterling, she hasn't - do you think that's right? You haven't got much respect for women, have you? You have a strange way of supporting your players, yet you whinge endlessly at folk who stick to football and not private lives.
The only way you have of supporting your players is on here. Pompous old prick. Now watching what posts i like!! ****ing hell. Stalker. Go watch sunderland or Boro. You dont support us.
Nuff said. I've supported the club longer than you have but don't measure posters like that; I read Sterling's post and you were the only like. Trying to be a victim is a bit sad really, when all you really are is a loudmouthed **** with keyboard.
Good match report http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...green’s-latest-catastrophic-calamity-–-report Particularly liked this part: Mind you, contribution isn’t any indicator of whether the current QPR crowd will stay with you or not. Few put as much into this game as Seb Polter and he crowned a tireless effort with a fantastic equaliser four minutes from time. First the German snapped a sharp pass wide to Matt Phillips - switched to the left by this point – then he turned and sprinted into the penalty area, arriving perfectly on time to power a fabulous header into the top corner from ten yards. This after 80 minutes of baiting and ridicule from sections of the home support. Polter is an interesting example of how the dynamic of the crowd and the support has changed at Loftus Road since the club had money invested into it. Previously we absolutely revelled in having those unconventional, underdog players in our team. We considered them an embodiment of what we were as a club – making the most of what meagre attributes we’d been given to bloody the noses of the sport’s aristocracy. Maybe not technically the best, maybe a bit odd to watch, maybe a bit of a maverick, but 110% effort, totally committed and effective. “As long as they try, that’s all we can ask” used to be the refrain. “I don’t mind if they’re crap, as long as they’re trying.” We used to absolutely love somebody like that and make cult heroes of them. Jamie Mackie, Devon White, Danny ****tu... People who got somewhere because of their endeavour and attitude, rather than any given ability. Now we absolutely pummel Polter, even when he's doing a good job for the team. He’s currently scoring and assisting goals regularly – bagging two of the last four himself and helping to set the other two up. We seem to think we as a club should be above this sort of basic footballer, and should be out there spending yet more money on supposedly accomplished strikers and big names, like that's worked at all for us over the past five years. “Spoilt” isn’t the right word for a group of supporters who have had so much festering **** foisted upon them over the past few years and kept coming back for more regardless – 11 wins in an entire year, and by the way we’re sticking £20 on your already expensive season ticket just the latest whack in the gentleman’s area – but we’ve certainly been changed, for the worse, by the money coming into Rangers in exactly the same way the club has as a whole. Polter should be a ****ing hero. Big German lump with ridiculous hair, scoring and setting up goals despite seeming to have no natural technique or ability - or, more kindly, an unconventional style - in a team that's struggling to score goals at all and is playing poorly. He’s old QPR.
Great example of football fans the country over - they, like us, have had a taste of the PL and, like us, their expectations have risen massively ........ it heaps pressure on owners, managers and players to deliver.
A solid performance with the result being the all important thing. 2 quality goals (one each) and a lucky winner but who cares. A win is a win is a win. Well done to all those at the game and will look forward to watching the game again via the sky+ box at some point. 3rd in the table after a slight blip in away form. BRUCE OUT INDEED - NOT.!!!!!
Best thing about it was my mate having Abel 1st goal & 1-1 then watching his face as my 10/1 2-1 came in! Had a great weekend in the smoke.
