I'm far far from a big rafa fan (i think he is a fairly unlikeable fecker) but its irresistable to just quote his record when someone comes out with laughable ****e like this.

    Valencia
    Liverpool
    Inter Milan
    Chelsea
    Napoli
Very few managers in Europe with that record you lot would call ****e....except he managed us

    As for the chaos crap.

Valencia: resigned because he didn't get the transfer targets he wanted.

Liverpool: sacked because he fell out with the owners over transfers: something the entire LFC fan base were to do shortly...or do you think its Rafa's fault the yanks didn't have any money in reality? :emoticon-0114-dull:

Inter Milan: again sacked because they wouldnt buy his targets

Chelsea: not permanent and they are lets face it chavs.

Napoli: resigned after winning a cup and getting them CL qualification to go to a bigger job.

So in the three teams he was sacked/resigned from before Napoli/Real his claim that they needed better players was arguably correct based on the their league results for a few years after....

Aye, the man is just average right enough....please continue to make yerself look daft <laugh>

What muddle? You asked did I rate him better than Klopp at the moment.

I support LFC and I'm really only interested in what a manager can do for us. Rafa won us trophies..happy with that..makes him a better manager (for us), than hodgeson or Rodgers. Didn't win us the title so I don't place him above a Dalglish, Paisley or a Shankly. I didn't think this needed exapanding but there you go.

Klopp has won nothing (for us) yet so can't be called a better manager (for us) than Rafa.

I'll be more than happy if Klopp replicates his superior winning ways (for us).

So what is your next sidestep in an attempt to back off from silliness?

His career started well at Valencia. Since then he's been a cup manager. As you say he's also very unlikeable and he's extremely unpopular within the game.

No you declared that my logic suggested I believed Rafa a better manager than Klopp.

I agreed according to my own fairly logical criteria since you set none of your own.

Tbh if he hadn't been lucky enough to have the Chelsea and Real Madrid jobs come up when they did (basically when those clubs had no other options) then Rafa would've been managing in the Championship years ago. Harsh I know but true.

    Based on what facts?

    Valencia
    Liverpool
    Inter Milan
    Napoli

Which of these is a championship side? I mean are you saying two of the biggest clubs in Europe picked Rafa out of a hat labelled "championship level managers"?

Can't wait to hear the detail of this claim.

He was at Valencia and Liverpool before either of the clubs mentioned. I'm simply saying his career has deteriorated since then and so has his reputation. Had the Chelsea job not come along he would have ended up in the lower leagues. Heck, they were talking about it during his time at Chelsea. He went on to win a trophy which got his career a stay of execution, but it turned out to be yet another flash in the pan. He got lucky those jobs have come along. Where do you think he'll end up?

It's not a fancy title, it simply means pressing against (as in getting close to).

Well apparently he would have ended up at West Ham according to their chairman...not exactly Championship and where they are currently sitting and moving to a new stadium probably not a job to be laughed at. Would probably have been the wiser choice but no manager is going to turn down Real.

It is hilarious that he is getting sacked only 4 points off the top of table only half way through the season with the two teams above readily dropping points too.

It is comparative to the Mourinho situation..players don't like so got rid...or in this case should I say one player.

    They haven't looked convincing tbf.

Something to compare the managers... Mourinho dipped massively. When things go wrong for him, they really go wrong for him.

Yeah..tbh I didn't think Rafa was a fit with Real despite his honours. Both managers can rub people the wrong way so the danger of implosion is always there.

It will be interesting to see where he goes next. It's not as if it can be classed a failure given so little time in the job and so close to the top.

Honestly think he will get another elite league job.
