Surely he can only perform regularly if he plays regularly. After all it's not as though he'd be in a club of his own if he played really well one week and went missing the next. He'd be no different from Hoolahan or Redmond, who incidentally AN sees him as competing for a starting place with . I don't think anyone is saying that Vadis has been hard done by, merely that his recent performances deserve him being given a chance in the starting 11. Particularly in light of Hoolahan and Redmonds recent performances. The physical nature of Stokes game would appear to further justify him being given a start ahead of Hoolahan and particularly Redmond. If he doesn't perform he could always be replaced by Redmond in the later stages of the game. Just seems to me that the time is right to give him a go.

He's been dead unlucky with injuries, but he was brought in ostensibly as a Leroy Fer replacement.
Well, if that's the case, in certain games I feel he should be ahead of O'Neil and / or Dorrans in the pecking order. He not only wants the ball, but he's always looking for ways to use it, rather than just trying to retain possession.

I agree that he should start against the physical threat offered by Stoke and soften them up before bringing Redmond on for the last 20 to 30 minutes.

I'm not sure if the quotes have been put on here, but Neil has been quoted saying he doesn't see Vadis as an alternative to O'Neil. Sitting deep isn't his game apparently.

When we got Vadis I thought his function was as an ACM rather than a potential winger (Redmond replacement) or deeper lying role. He seemed like a really exciting prospect too. Please make it so !
