Will cost a few million to get De Boer to Swansea imo , would make it 10 million to get our last 2 managers to leave and the new one to get here ....10 million folks , who have we become , seriously

The Board have big decisions to make in the near future , probably some of the biggest yet they've had to make do they stick or twist , this period is not just about football but the financial future of the Club, get it right and we'll breathe easy (for a while) if wrong then the repercussions could be felt for a long time .

I think he could do the job very well if there was no restrictions. If there is anyone at the club who knows every job inside out then it's curt......He is the most knowledgeable down to earth guy you could ever meet and we are so lucky he is married to the club for life......It would hurt him very much if he was to be sacked as being the manager that he dont have full control like monk was.....

Whatever Dai! One things for sure Curt’ will be giving everything, you can be sure of it. And I have always been under the impression that he has never wanted the managers job, but he knows we need his help and experience now, so he'll be working hard for the club until a new manager is appointed, and the board will not take advantage of him at his age of 62, so lets leave out calling posters liars, or I'll call you an.........<ok>

Every time Curtis gives an interview in his own subtle way its a well deserved dig at the previous incumbent .Highly unlikely that Monk would have had the balls to make changes as Curtis has and imo bold changes with it .

    "
And there is likely to be another mass reshuffle at United, with Swansea hoping Federico Fernandez will shake off a heel injury in time to feature.

"It's no secret we will make changes again," Curtis said.
"The good thing now is that our squad in terms of picking the team becomes bigger.
"Even though the players have been there, you're reluctant because of lack of match fitness, but a lot of players have had a game now."

And we better keep a million or two in reserve in case the "Vorm Fiaso " goes south on us at the end of this month .
We've blown a lot of money the last few seasons on very poor decisions pretending we're ( the board ) big shots , it's water under the bridge for me ...just as long as water doesn't go any higher through stupidity

It could be said that the Board hasn't matured as quickly as the Club has and the events over the last 5 / 6 years have been too much for some to fully grasp the implications of running a Club at this level .I hope the Vorm affair can be sorted out quickly either way , lessons being learnt and hopefully not an expensive one if it is found that we were underhanded in our dealings

Everything comes out in a wash, the club and board are not perfect, no one is, we are going to be fine, there's a Skewen boy in charge....<cheers>

The last two quotes are very damning towards Monk and Curt is spot on. If Monk was still in charge we still wouldn't have seen Fed, Leon, Amat, Cork, Barrow, Grimes, Emnes etc playing/starting games.
What has impressed me with Curtis is that he knew what the obvious issues were and he rectified them immediately.
I also expect him to put a strong side out against Oxford and respect the FA Cup.

We are a small club trying to act like a big club instead of living within our means. our wage bill is enormous for a club of our size and we must get it under control before we get into a financial state that we have to sell off our better players........We don't have to keep up with the bigger clubs spending power trying to be a big club and go back to what we do best and live within our means bringing in players we can afford and playing good football. These so called expensive players we have brought in on record level contracts and wages have mostly been flops and i count Ayew in that for what he earns and what he has given in performances.....We cannot afford to buy our way out of trouble and must do it our own sensible way like we have done climbing all the divisions with success and making unknown superstars instead of buying stars from other clubs who turn out to be flops.......We are a small club who can compete with the best clubs anywhere if we go back to basics.......

Although there is no one near Curtis's odds to become our manager , Rodger's is really climbing guickly and based of information on this thread by someone ( Can't remember who ) that Rodgers can't join a team till January , I think there might be something to this sudden climb .....certainly not against Rodgers taking over , but we must do it quickly. ............or not at all .

The media have as much clue as us, and they are struggling to work this one out, must admit there is a humerous side to Huw's smoke and mirrors. ........ <laugh>

I would not be against Brendan coming back but would he want to come back now he is a multi millionaire and someone who has the taste of managing a big club. Would it be like a step backwards and too much of a risk that should he not manage to keep us up then his repetition would be ruined, He is still regarded as a top manager in the football world and he is so wealthy that he can wait until bigger clubs come calling.....
