Despite the weather's best efforts it looks like the match will be on tomorrow. Anyone else sick and bleddy tired of this constant wind and rain. I've got the grandson for the weekend as his mum and dad have gone off to London to watch, would you believe it, West Ham v Liverpool. I'm hoping that one is 0 - 0 to teach them a lesson. Anyway, am taking him and grandaughter to see Star Wars tomorrow and am unlikely to hear any of the match and won't find out the result till later. Bleddy typical.

Anyway, it's going to be a hard one and to come out of this one with anything would be good. January is going to be tough games wise given who we play over the month. If we can start the month well it would be good.

We've had the wind a bit.....but nowhere near the rain that the rest of the country has had.......we've had the threatening clouds and that meant it started to get dark not long after 3pm.

I do agree that this will be a hard game to get anything out of.......Carlisle have been hit with the flooding and they have gained resolve over having to play away from home......a determination that seems to bring a strength to win there "home" games wherever it is played.

Then it is Northampton on the 9th which will be even harder......so two big games to start 2016 off with for us.

I'm glad it's you sensible being subjected to the new Stars War movie......not my idea of a good day out......but they will be enjoying it and leaving you alone.....so a bonus there.......but then you have to come home and check the footie results from behind the sofa.....will either make your day or ruin it.......a draw will be ok as far as I'm concerned.

Firstly, Star Wars was a little disappointing for me. It sort of re-introduced some of the old characters and the theme of the film was much the same as previous ones. Don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it and maybe wants to so won't give away any of the story line. Clearly this was setting up another episode.

Wow is what I would say with this result. Think this one was as good if not better than any previous this season away from home. I would have bitten your hand off for a point before kick off and was well shocked when I finally saw it. As already stated we have a bit of a hard run to come including today's so to start it with 3 points is fantastic. I have no idea about performance apart from what I've read on other sites but to be honest this time I could not care less how they got them. Delighted. end of.

Adams proving himself the master of tactics against Carlisle......only telling his team that they where playing three centre halfs just before going out to play the game....dropping McHugh back from his mid-field role.......Adams making sure that Carlisle got no wind of it until the game had started.

Nine away wins by the 2nd of January takes some doing......they seem more vunerable playing at home.

This was the second game that Reuben Reid had been unused on the bench, Ryan Brunt delaying the return of Reid to the starting line up with his scoring form......not sure at the moment if he might be awarded the second goal as well or was it an own goal or going to Wylde with a final touch.

Important next game against Northampton delayed until Tuesday the 12th......because of Northampton being in the FA Cup next Saturday......thgis will give us time to get Carey fit and Reid to be more ready to resume playing.

Adams has some important business off the pitch before then.....because today was the end of Tanner, Boateng and Threlkeld being loanees at Argyle.
The manager has made no secret that he is trying to retain their services and has been talking to their parent clubs. Plus the rumour that Alan Smith has been offered a player/coaching role at PAFC......with the transfer window now open will there be other players coming in to strengthen the squad as well ?

Christian Walton has returned to Brighton......Adams not trying to retain him and will use James Bittner has his sub goalkeeper.

Walton played four times for Argyle during his loan time covering for Luke McCormick whilst out with a groin injury.

Has the World gone to sleep out there? Where is everyone? Has lyndhurst been parachuted into Canada to rescue BC? Are notdistant and hp having to sort out the world of business which is in meltdown? We just won a fantastic 3 points and nobody has noticed except me and plymborn. I know we haven't anything better to do than post on the internet but bugger me chaps this was a big weekend.

Thanks for waking me up Mr. Sensible...i was hibernating...
Argyle are doing what it takes to stay at the top..good teams get lucky at times to earn the points..
I think you mentioned in a past post that "we are talking about Argyle BC " regarding the bubble to burst ..
I think that is in the past this is the new era for us all...

I bet you do BC but sometimes watching Argyle can be painful. It is strange how their home form often doesn't match the away form. We do ok but it isn't fortress Home Park quite yet. Mind you in the past teams used to travel to Plymouth on the day in a coach and some of them travelled for absolute hours arriving a couple of hours before kick off. Nowadays teams travel the day before and aren't knackered. I would almost wish we were playing Northampton away rather than home. If the game was on a Saturday rather than Tuesday night I would expect a bumper crowd but Tuesdays on a work week I'd guess at 8000 ish. Still good but not fantastic.
