Kane not for sale at "any price" ....I wonder?

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by FosseFilberto, Dec 28, 2015.

  1. Yes, PIXIE, because even if we don't finish in the top 4, Levy is going to let the entire spine of his team leave to our rivals, fcuking Poch off in the process, and completely destroying everything we have been building these past two or three seasons.
    <doh>

I know you are wumming (poorly), but even you must know that this is dire stuff!

Calm down petal and look at the facts.

Players like Lloris have previously indicated their desire to play champions league football. He's pushing 30 and won't want to wait too much longer if Spurs can't offer it to him. As I said, I think Kane will stay this summer, regardless of whether you finish in the top 4 or not. But that might not be the same for all of your squad. History also tells us that Levy is a selling chairman and if the big players come in with silly bids, then he will sell.

Levy will sell. He always does. He and Joe Lewis are businessmen.

Yes & No. Yes, there IS a price for everything. No, because firstly, as HIAG says, we are trying to build a competitive side. Secondly because Levy has never sold one of our top players willingly - despite what some wums try to claim - Only when forced by transfer requests and threats of strikes, etc.

  6. NSS, PIX and Stan are double-teaming us! We are being subjected to tag-wumming. It's not pretty, and only the blue-rinsers are going to fall for it.

Dickie Davis would have done a better job commentating on this one, but at least the lads are trying.

I know exactly what they're up to. I only reply up to a point. Most of their wumming is blatantly obvious and can't be treated too seriously.

No wumming. Lloris has made it clear before that he wants to play champions league football.

If you read the news, he's also made it clear that although he had seriously considered leaving, he's currently very impressed with M.P. and is staying for the foreseeable future.

If we finish top 4, which I doubt, I think we'll sign Lloris to replace De Gea.

As I've said, I think this season represents a great chance for Spurs to get CL football, so Lloris may well be able to do that with Spurs.
You have to question though, whether he will want to stay if he has to endure another season without CL football should you fail to qualify.

  14. The wum-goggles cannot let them see that, though, NSS.

As I say, he's staying for the forseeable future. He's made no noises about leaving if CL fails to appear. I think he feels part of what's being built and will give it a while longer.

Levy does what he does, he sells his players and puts the money into his Carribbean off-shore company.

  18. I've heard that he's pre-ordered a new yacht, which he has registered as "Kane."

Don't know how he's going to pay for that, mind.

Wait, do we spend a load of cash all the time or sell all of our players and keep the money?
    It can't be both, surely?
