I think much depends on Klopps opinion of the prem now after tasting it.

We need the type of players west ham have got. Physically they are much stronger than us and more dynamic too.

It shows what a set up can do really as I wouldn't rate gold and sullivan but allardyce and bilic are guy who know the value of power

Our lot are physically weak or unable to play fast and hard. Gerrard commented on aspas and Alberto in his many many comments. They looked like kids in the dressing room.

Klopp has to start with the spine of the team and build a consistent level there.

Then he's got to inject the width and flair.

It'll be grand then...Germans love a big strong boy!

IF we and the club are prepared to wait 3/4 years, then ok. My problem with Klopp yesterday was that he simply wouldn't accept and adapt to the fact floating airy-fairy balls to a static Benteke just wasn't working. Why are some pundits trying to re-write history here? That is what happened, it's as plain as could be, and Bilic must have been utterly pissing himself that Jurgen did **** all about it

I like, possibly even love Klopp, and, though I questioned the timing of dumping Rogers (I don't now after the Chelsea/Utd events) I'm really happy to have him. But for the time being he has to work with what he's got, and even in some Shangri-la future with a full squad of his own choice, he'll still have to counter injuries. yesterday he failed to adapt. He did against watford too. In both cases I have no problem with being beaten by better teams on the day, but, yesterday especially, he was owned by opposition managers, and we shouldn't deny it.

It's not just us, though: United, Chelsea, City have all had their eyes wiped by the likes of Leicester West Ham and Watford recently. To me, all that boils down to over-complacent, overpaid, up-their-own-arse players this Prem has turned the majority of players into.

You mention Bilic: I wouldn't have said no to him being our manager before we got Klopp, but he's had more time with his side and it hasn't all been plain sailing for him, either.

I'm sorry but Rodgers should have been sacked in the summer following the 6-1 drubbing we got from Stoke. His time was up then. That's really why we're in this mess. He should never have been given those further weeks. Klopp has had no pre-season and no transfer window until now. You say Klopp is being owned by opp managers: I think it's more likely they take one look at our line-up and rub their hands thinking, 'There for the taking.' Our players are too easy to read and too predictable, and too ****ing scared of the opposition. They put on the Liver bird shirt and they can't handle the expectation; and I think you do under-estimate Klopp as a person.

You're right, he has to work with what he has, but with the best will in the world he doesn't have a magic wand FFS. He's no more happy with how things are than we are. MITO is right, no instant fix. Coutinho well IMO he's already ****ed off elsewhere, and with the injuries our choices are limited. Even Pep Guardiola couldn't do anything with this shower of ****.

Like I said, the one thing I can criticise Klopp for is getting too friendly with the players. Time to crack the whip now and stop being Mr Nice Guy. I think he's already started turning on them. He's not here to waste his time with a bunch of losers.

It's all over Twitter how Klopp purged 17 players in his first season with Dortmund. There's no way he'll get away with that here, sadly.

I don't think Klopp gives a **** what people think so "getting away with" doesn't come into it. I agree it won't happen though.

PS...who would your seventeen be?

Everyone except Sturridge (and if he can't stay match fit for more than five minutes together send him packing), Coutinho (but I reckon he'll go anyway), Henderson, Sakho, Origi I'd give more time to, Texeira who hasn't been given jack **** of a chance; Ings; Gomez. The rest can all **** off as far as I'm concerned. That's prob more than 17 but I don't care. People bang on about having no faith in the manager; this time it's the other way around for me. Too many light weight passengers who are more interested in the kudos of the club than actually playing for it.

It would certainly make a statement.

I'd keep Clyne, Flanno, Moreno, Sakho, Gomez, Can, Coutinho, Studge and Ings. **** the rest.

(Obviously talking first teamers only so doesn't include players like Tex, Smith, Rossiter etc)

I completely forgot Ings! <doh> It's easy to forget someone when they're out for the rest of the season. OK, keep Can and Clyne, too. Gomez??

We can dream all we like but there's no way FSG would agree to such a cull.

Yep, Gomez too (I edited)

Or the committee

I'll bet you in 3 years there'll be maybe 3 players left.

Also watching spurs.

They've been schooled to one touch then pass... this makes space with simple movements.

Our lot take 5 touches to make a pass half the time.

Everton have been really trying and look quite a unit too.. got undone by simple fast longish ball.

1. Meaner defense.

2. Tougher more physical players

3. More intensity and running from entire unit.

4. Get width.

It's that simple.

Lfc have very lightweight midfield that regularly gets rolled over. Why is Klopp's first buy a young lad who's over 6 foot?

Why was Rodgers a 5 foot 6 joe allen?

Yeah, 'cos all small players are ****.
Perhaps we should price them by the pound.

Had Klopp been available in the summer I think they'd have got him then, but he wanted a break and was then no obvious target with Ancelotti not available either.

Think it it was a case of give it a few months and say to klopp let us know when you're ready and we'll get you in.

Lallana is a 10 stone weakling.

Contrast that to a proper athlete type.

Sterling worked hard at being strong even though he was a short arse. He had pace to burn to make a difference too.

What's lallana got exactly that cant be closed down and bullied by a merely competent defender?

Same for Firmino right now.. defenders should be scared to tackle these guys cost it'll be a free against or shoulder them cos they'll get it right back.

If I were up against lallana I'd just shoulder him over all the time cos he's not fast enough to get away from me and too weak to mind it... and not clever enough to draw fouls as he's too honest.

You need physicality to compete first and have the right to then play your game.

Our lot don't have the bottle for one touch football....

The bit I took exception to was this:
Lfc have very lightweight midfield that regularly gets rolled over. Why is Klopp's first buy a young lad who's over 6 foot?

Why was Rodgers a 5 foot 6 joe allen?
...which is why I highlighted it.
Why is a 6 foot player better than a shorter one- leaving aside the fact that the latter is Joe Allen of course?
Physicality is not directly proportional to height- far from it.
