I recently read that the club would be happy to keep Curt as Manager until the end of the season. Apparently it is reported that the players support this view. Sentiments aside but we need the right new man sooner rather than later. We are in for one hell of a battle to stay up.Even including Villa, the fight is on and the other bottom clubs are rolling their sleeves up and talking tough. Such is the importance of experienced managers! Having an experienced Manager this would include an influence in bringing in vital players, this could also be down to contacts and the reputation of a Manager. At the moment to the outsider it appears that we are day dreaming towards relegation. Prove me wrong Mr Jenkins and Co. Your thoughts please.
I only give us a 30% of staying up with curt in charge as nothing will change. With the right manager and certain changes i would have given 60% of staying up. One thing is for sure that we are one of 5 or 6 clubs that will be in the mix till the end of the season...
Couldn't disagree more after that performance , the hunt for a new manager will trickle to a drip now imo. Jenkins will start trying to gather money for a striker , Leadbetter, Henderson and Foster will find us that striker , Curtis and Adams will continue to work the players into a solid team and we will collect our hundred million for our new manager in the summer .imo And I think dai's prediction has a 90 % chance of being wrong
I have said it before and I'll say it again, it's going to be a rough ride, but we will do it with Curt, he's got us playing again, all we need is a serious threat up front, that is far more important than a new manager.......... Need to keep our nerve.
We will see......we are over the half way stage now with small gaps growing above us that keep growing without a striker and manager. If you think curt will get enough wins then your in lala land......I will never blame him of course because i blame jinx and the board for our demise for bringing in players not suited......I wonder who he will bring in this time if any at all as curt would also like to know... Total shambles which ever way you look at it.....
5 points from 5 games for Curtis and company since talking over a total mess , with everyone else affiliated at the club , that don't actually play in mass panic .Flying to South America ,knowing they should have sacked Monk after the Norwich game . And those 5 games Curtis has been in charge , getting those 5 games off of improved performances were against teams ..3rd ,6th ,12th ,7th and 5th in the table .....what's the problem exactly !
5 points from 5 games = 1 point a game on average. That's 38 points in a season. That's the problem, in my humble opinion. If we continue to average 1 point per game, we will end on 37 points. Would that be good enough.....
Is it Curtis's fault that Gomis is playing sh:t and Eder has been injured for all 5 games Jeez guys , look at the quality of the teams Curtis had to face after being throw into this quagmire left by Monk and the board . 5 points in 5 games iunder these circumstances , Curtis should get a fuking medal . Monk got 5 points in his last 10 games , whinge about that .Under Monk , his last 5 games , we let in 10 goals. Curtis's 5 games we let in 4 flipping goals Be thankful what Curtis has done within his circumstance instead of nitpicking on not scoring goals against top teams over the fast paced Christmas period , If you can't be thankful toward what Curtis has done , don't be nothing .Alan must know how Laudrup felt over Michael's " Christmas Special " Monk and the board are the villains in our mess , not Curtis. Monk got tons of time from our bumbling board to make this mess , give Curtis half that time and a proper striker , be it Eder or someone new , before you start looking to the negatives while tripping over the positives . Sorry ...
All fair comments - the Board should have acted earlier. Nevertheless, 1 point per game is not enough. Hopefully, we can beat both Sunderland and Watford - that would give a better complexion ......
Well at least Curtis will have a bit of time , Eder back and The Oxford game to get him ready after being dragged through what must have seemed like " The Boar War " after HIS FIRST FIVE GAMES IN CHARGE.....bless him and his crew.
