swansea, who i like a lot mind, always seem to be worried when we win. i think many of them have us pinned as their get out of jail card for relegation.
right, off to bed. Happy evening fellow City supporters. Nod to KIO for the (quite frankly very poor) thread that got us over the line
Totally buzzing, what a cracking result! Was out for lunch then round the GFs parents for her mums birthday, luckily got to theirs at 3 for Soccer Saturday, was so nervous after taking the lead, jumping in celebration when the FT came in!
Made a massive difference when he me on - drew the foul that got Wanyama red carded and superbly set up Tettey!s goal. Very skillful on the ball, excellent vision and a physical presence as well. Realy like the look of him and he could be a vital player for us.
Yes, we may have scored with our only shot on target, but Mbokani was very close on 2 or 3 occasions in the first half. One of the best games I've seen at Carrow road in a few months!!!
I went today, first time for ages due to health issues. A few points that I would like to make: 1) Redmond was bad. You could forgive his defensive issues but coupled with totally running our of ideas going forward and not being able to pass or use his pace he may be in danger of losing his place to Vadis. 2) Our defensive midfield was sitting too deep for a lot of the game inviting pressure. 3) Brady is on a completely different level to most players in our team. Both technical wise and pace. 4) Bennett and Bassong were good in defence and Rusty didn't look the best. In fact him and Redmond looked below par. 5) Rudd, amazing. My MOTM. kept us in the game in the 1 v 1. Only thing I would say is he could control his area a little better at set pieces. But I can't see a way back for Ruddy. 6) Shane Long still looks good and sharp. 7) The MASSIVE difference in the game despite the sending off was Vadis. He looked superb and a little chubby! But hell does that boy have skills. We need him now and I don't think he is a replacement for Wes. I think he may be a replacement for Redmond. 8) we almost conceded 4 times from a goal kick so we need to work on that. Great result. Almost gave me a heart attack when Long was on the ball as he looks sharp as a tack.
Yes, K E M P, agree that Redmond needs to be dropped to at least the bench, as he was not very impressive against Villa either. Also Rusty looked pretty rusty IMO. Still, we mustn't quibble, as that was 3 points I wasn't expecting.
As appose to f**king SAINTS who also came from League One resonantly?! What a Pr*ck, probably didn't support them in League One.
AN said in his post match interview that until the goal went in, he was thinking of having 2 strikers on!!!
Just one amongst a bunch of reasonable posters worried about what's happened to their team recently. You're right in as much as we've come from the same place in the recent past. Easy to forget that we came up from Div 1 at roughly the same time. What they have achieved in terms of PL stability since though has made many of their fan base expect more now. That's probably the difference.
They just need to calm down and realize they are still growing, and to expect to just walk over Norwich is stupid and arrogant.
Did you see Koeman's comments about NCFC 'losing Alex Neil' If not, here you go: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/484685/Ronald-Koeman-Norwich-struggle-keep-Alex-Neil {I'd worry about keeping your own house in order, RK }
