Nowhere near the emphatic 4-0 thumping handed to us at St Mary's but what a great week it has been for us.
Not even a late West Brom winner can disappoint me, or the Sunderland win! Great result. We played poorly until Odjidja replaced Redmond and we were already looking good when the sending off made the difference. Has this been the best festive period of fixtures in a while?! Nine points in four games.
It has finished now Jasper. Not sure who needed the win most. City to edge away from the bottom 3 or Saints to get back on track (1 win in 7 now I believe?) Anyway - Good luck for the rest of the season
Cor, I'm buzzing after that. Great work in his brief cameo from Vadis - I'd like to see him and Tettey together in the middle
When we beat you at home one of your players got himself stupidly sent off. We are very sporting. Well done and for those of you who were at the game, my sympathies.
Very much doubt you will be anywhere near the trap door mate, just hope we can get to the 40 points (or thereabouts) before mid April to give us a comfortable end of season.
I like the thought of Vadis and Tettey in the middle, Brady / Jarvis left, Howson / Redmond right. I know he was only on for a few minutes, but he showed more 'guile' than Dorrans and O'Neil have manged all season!
Still can't make up my mind about O'Neil. I can't remember any real "howlers" but then again I can't remember him having a huge impact on any game he has played in. (Perhaps it's the beer playing tricks on the eyes and brain)
He was brilliant, IMO. On the So'ton board one of their posters said he looked like Messi! (Well, he actually said that the Saints players made Odjidja look like Messi, but I think that still counts...)
