the attack is just too stayed. no movement and no midfield runners either. just stand by Benteke and mark him because no midfielder is going beyond him!
 
We are predictable. We want to run through the middle or cross to Benteke. Both can be nullified by packing the central area.

Taking Benteke out makes us even more predictable.
 
Benteke is totally a coward. We had a free kick and he wasn't in the middle,but is always desperate to get out wide. It's like he is scared to be on the ball.

It's hard for Can when there's **** all around him tbh. Midfield is a nightmare if everyone is having a bad one, Moreno can hide for much of the game but Can cant.

I think he's been OK given the surroundings <laugh>

At the moment Benteke is just a magnet for buffet crosses for the W Ham defenders.

I don't think it does. It means we will be forced to play with the ball on the deck and not default to launching pointless balls in.

Lol all the pundits want us to play to Bentekes strengths and cross more.

I wonder when they will finally realise he's actually a poor player.

Now that I've criticised Benteke, I expect him to score 30 seconds into the second half.

We're not launching ball after ball into the box though. We're only doing it because they've run out of ideas!

What frustrates me is this insistence that we have to play a different way to get the best out of Benteke, we don't! Play the same way with one slight change; when it goes wide cross early! That is it!!!
 
Remember Weat Ham have had 4 days to prepare for this day, we've had 2 days.

We end up floating it as he's never in space and position for an early cross. Every time we break he runs towards Collins, never mind space. Collins must think Benteke is a duckling who's seen his image as soon as he came out of the egg.
