OK Shaun, it was just that I once knew a Geoff Cawthorn who was the manager of the branch that your dad managed, this was probably a bit later on though, more like the mid eighties.

I think he left in 1982, he would have probably known Geoff

These match reports are written by a HCOSC officer, who attends the game and writes the report on his phone. Written as he see's the game and without the aid of a replay (other than in the stadium). Slid in or volley? I suppose we could edit the report, but the only editing is to correct any spelling and put it into paragraphs.

Our press conference reports and match reports are produced by members of the OSC. There is no desire to make them more professional, these are written by supporters for supporters. In the case of the press conferences, the officer takes time off work to attend and if the conference runs over time, this impacts on his working day. Neither officer posts on forums or on any site other than ours.

This is all about supporters getting closer to the club. One of our members has the chance to spend a matchday with Burnsy. We are invited to attend the press conferences and if we had the time, to interview Steve Bruce and players. On Monday 18th January we will host another meet the players event at the KC. The new format was very well received by those who attended the first event.

Thanks for reading the report Kent Tiger, no problem with your post or comment, it just gave the opportunity to add some background.

Are there genuinely people applauding Meyler's recent contribution to the side?

Yet again Brucey left his big bang of a start on the bus. Thankfully Akpom never got on the bus! Brucey stated he wanted to see the nasty side of his team, apart from one crunching tackle from Harry that was left on the bus also!

On moment of quality from Abel and we were one up, brilliantly taken!

had Austin been playing I feel Jake's misplaced pass in the first half may have seen us on the back foot in the first half yet again. Terrible first half, we were in control as much due to QPR's inability as much as our own play.

Their equaliser, Harry chased Polter out to within 10 metres of the half way line, I can only assume that was the game plan as Brucey wasn't get too excited at the time. Polter slips the ball to Phillips, great cross which Dave failed to stop. Polter has left Harry well behind him and no one picked him up on the cross although Curtis got near. Good goal, who was at fault from our side, should Huddlestone have covered Harry; only Brucey will know. However had Daws been playing I'm sure he would have held his position better than Harry did. That said Harry for me yet again one of the better performers on the day.

Clucas MOM, how does a midfielder get MOM when he doesn't lay a glove on the opposition defensively? Not a single tackle that I can recollect? Great going forwards and a good performance, but for me not MOM.

Great result, and a performance typical of City this season. Dio got Brucey out of jail with his late goal when yet again we go more defensive for the last 15 mins and try to hang on to what we've got!

I remain concerned that when the supposed lesser teams try to offset our 'quality' by getting into our faces, we appear to lack grit and determination, and without Daw's a leader and organiser. Jake must be the quietest captain ever.

Pleased I went in the end, some retribution and satisfaction after the previous four away game servings.

Great tackle from Meyler yesterday, and pass to Mo which led to Abel's goal. Not fully at it yesterday for me, but does a lot of good things that keeps the team ticking over. Good foil for Jake, and based on current options our best central midfield pairing

Clucas was playing high up the pitch. I noticed once that when QPR had a thrown in near our our right corner flag he was still near the half way line. That must have been his instructions.

Yes, he puts himself about and picks up a lot of loose balls.
Near the end it looked like he had a half chance but hit the ball well over the bar. When I watched it on TV later I could see what a difficult chance it was.
