I'd put his value at £50m

    He is still learning though.

  3. No chance we will sell him. He's our only recognised striker, and we've waited a very long time to get someone with his degree of striking talent.

Anyone who thinks Levy is going to sell him, especially to one of our rivals for top 4, is a very poor wum or, at worst, incredibly deluded.

    Cue PIXIE...

    Every player has their price.

  5. Sure they do, but you can rest assured that if anyone is stupid enough to offer £100 million for Kane, Levy will be more than happy to take it - but only if we can get in a half-decent replacement.

Man Utd would probably pay that type of cash.

  7. I seriously doubt it. For that kind of cash, they are easier targets to go for.

But he is young, English and scores goals. They could build a new dynasty around him as the focal point.

  9. They could.

However, I suspect that Levy would rather eat his own spleen than sell any players to United.

It's not going to happen, ATG.

Even if Kane puts in a transfer request - and the player has already made it clear that he doesn't want to leave Spurs - there is absolutely no way on this God's Earth that he'll go to a Prem rival.

I really don't know why fans of other clubs try to wum on this subject, as it's so cut and dried. If you feel that you must wum, say something about our new stadium, or how we are forever in Arsenal's shadow - that kind of thing.

... breaking news from the splenectomy ward at St Thomas' hospital..Mr Levy is as comfortable as can be expected and has put out to tender the opportunity for top chefs to come up with an innovative menu to compliment the unusual focal ingredient. .. :)

How was Soldado a replacement for Bale? They don't play the same position at all.

He's not as good as Kane, but Austin isn't a bad striker. I was surprised nobody went in for him end of last season.

... wasn't that where the largest single amount of the Bale money was 'reinvested' :)

Depends on who you believe with regards to the fee.
I'd say that Lamela was more of the obvious replacement, both in terms of position and money.
He's doing well for us now though, so it's probably not as WUM-worthy.

Even if that was the case, it doesn't mean that Soldado was a replacement for Bale. We bought several players to try to replace Bale.

.. I know it's now been established that your footballing knowledge is rather 'slight' ... but surely even you must know that you can only have eleven players on the pitch at any given time? :)
