Here, hang on - how is betting against your team not supporting them? I regularly bet against them so no matter what the result, I get a small crumb of comfort. If I had managed to place a bet last night I'd have been delighted to lose my stake.
Meyler is always in there disrupting the opposition. Football on the pitch is a lot harder than it looks from the stands.
I would say that the three players we should be offering good deals to this month are the following: Curtis Davies Allan McGregor David Meyler Some of the others out of contract in the summer would be nice to keep. Maybe Bruce has some ideas for replacements but will he be around if we don't get promotion?
I read other boards and some supporters seem to think we were very ordinary. I thought we were ok in the second half though and got control against a weak QPR side (there's nobody to fear in this division, tell Bruce that please). But to say we were premiership quality in that game is a bit of a joke, the first goal was but quite a bit else wasn't.
"premiership quality" doesn't mean top four. Have you seen the bottom half of the Premier League? I'm not saying we were exceptionally skillful but the vast majority of the team did their job very well.
That's ridiculously over the top, it was a great result, but it certainly wasn't a great performance, we did just enough to beat a thoroughly mediocre QPR.
Yesterday we did enough against a very poor QPR team. Listen to the radio for away games mainly so was nice to watch them yesterday. With a bit more composure in the final third we could have easily got more. Again shows what this league is like would we be third in any other league playing the way we have so far!! We should fear no one in this league!! The next month we have the games to cement a top two place! On a side note Elmo was not great. Hope he can sort it out as he on his day is a top top player!! Now let's pray for a draw on the Boro game.
Sorry to hear that mate. Condolences. My Dad passed away just after we started the PL season in 2013. I vividly recall the win over Newcastle two days later, (the team build up to Aluko's wonder strike) which sticks in my memory as a very emotional win. I still celebrate and commiserate every result with my Dad in my head to this day.
