From TV Diame Clueless Maguire Davies looked classy tonight, no fuss but in the right place all the time. Still don't like has panicky passing.
Robbo Abel H Diame I thought Odubajo, Maguire & Davies looked good tonight but Robbo constantly getting forward was the best of the back 4!
Trust him to go missing after I put money on him to score, my bloody bookie didn't refund it either like they usually do
While I agree with people like Diame, Clucas (what a strong shot he has) mentioned here....let's not forget their goalie vacating his goal for us at the end.
They have to refund it don't they? It's treated like a none runner in racing. Unless you doubled it with something else that didn't come in? In that case the bookies right.
Diame Clucas (if we had players bursting to get into the box to meet his crosses we'd have had it wrapped up early) Maguire
Clucas Maguire Moses A special mention to the match winner for that finish........ they all count get in!
Clucas, Maguire and Robertson. Moses looked decent today but could do to put the ball in the box sometimes, and I thought Snodgrass looked classy - given Elmo's performance he must be in with a shout at starting soon
Davies Robertson Clucas special mention for Maguire other observations will somebody please try and get the ball from throw-ins rather than stand motionless 10 yards away will Meyler stop giving away needless freekicks near the box and will Livermore learn to pass to his own team otherwise good performance which Brucie nearly ****ed up again
Posters on this thread, with their MOM choices, show how differently each of us see the game and the players efforts. The majority appear to have Clucas, Robertson and Diame in their top three and from the game I saw (albeit from TV and a pretty bad reception) I would agree with those choices in that order, not forgetting that when we are playing a 'below average' team (like QPR are) then an 'average' player can appear to be much better than he is. Clucas and Robertson put in a full shift whereas the flick from Diame to Hernandez (for a very well taken goal - he did not have to control the ball before shooting just a very good opportunist first touch) showed his class. On the downside, whereas Maguire put in a shift he is, at this level anyway (imo) a one-legged carthorse. Elmo is a shadow of the player he was and I feel there is something very wrong here. Meyler wasn't with it in this game. McGreggor is far from the pillar of strength expected from the last line of defence. Odubajo had a better game but has little or no end product. Davies and Livermore had solid games but need to raise a little. Snoddy and Diomande are still finding their feet. We got the points though and that's what is important and got lucky (not before time) with the winning goal but we deserved the win. Well done the lads for a good effort.
