http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereve...-beat-manchester-city-in-us-popularity-stakes No real surprise. In their first two games Man Utd attracted a combined audience of 128,757 while Man City only attracted a pathetic 35,325 spectators to their first two games. Mind you that's about 30,000 more than they attract in the Premiership each week.
bit obvious really. I doubt anyone outside Europe knows who city really are other than a really rich club i doubt most football fanatics from other countries could name 5 of their players.
I didn't even realise City were on tour in the States! Bit of a schoolboy error touring at the same time as Utd if you ask me - if they'd chosen a different country, or different time, they might have gotten some attention. Even Barcelona have the good sense to make sure they arrive on their US tour as we are leaving.
the americans probably think united have brought their reserve side along aswell, for when they can't get tickets to the 'big' games.
Why is the Abu Dhabi United brand touring the States anyway? Surely they are the club that represents all Mancunians, with their Arab owners, Brummie chief executive, Italian manager and cosmopolitan squad?
I'm going to see the Los Angeles Galaxy play Man ****ty tomorrow. They're advertising Man City as the English power house. LOL.
Well done, you're more popular worldwide than Man City are...did it take you this long to figure that one out?
So a pointless thread then. Rochester eh? Is that near the MUFC hotbed of Odsall or am I mistaking it with somewhere down South?
