I'd love Lukaku to wake up one morning with some sense...

Like why the **** am I not playing for Liverpool, considering how close I am from them.

No denying it, the lad is a beast. Amazing CF imo, taking injuries etc. into account possibly the best striker in the PL. He has the whole package, a quick target man. Plan A and B in one player. <grr>

    I was a little bored tbh <whistle>

It was easier finding Osama Bin Laden than it is trying to find astro after a liverpool loss. He certainly makes up for it after a win though

If a big club paid £50-60m for him would that be a worthwhile buy?

    100%. He's young, quality, proven.

    I'd happily pay £60mil in today's market.

I was discussing it with someone on our board. I didnt think so but maybe I'm wrong. No disrespect to Everton but I just think when the pressure is on at the highest level he wont deliver.

I have to say I disagree.

I think he'd be the perfect choice to play for Real Madrid instead of Benzema to be honest. With the wingers they have and his ability, he's the perfect fit. I could see him smashing the living **** out of La Liga.

He's playing in the biggest league in the World and is still only 22 with nearly 60 league goals already to his name.

He'd score goals in any team.

I think he'll probably move on in the summer unfortunately and the bidding will open at £50m imo

Yeh, I'm not knocking him. Maybe part of it is Jose not showing faith in him?

But like I said I may well be wrong I'm only going by a gut feeling thats it, based on what I've seen of him.

If I had a choice I'd go for Kane though.

Kane over Lukaku, I'd not. Not atm. Both good players though, but I think Lukaku is ahead of him

Kane is nowhere near the all round player than Lukaku is developing into imo.

He's making the most of a relatively limited talent and I do like the lad, but they're not even close overall for me.

On his day Lukaku is unplayable and he's now reaching a level of consistency that will put him amongst the elite in the coming years.

Possibly all-round not yet, but technically with the ball at his feet, isnt Kane better.

I'm also looking at it from pov who I would want at United...who would suit us (suit us not Van Gaal btw)

Except the trend you've noticed is more fabricated than NASA climate data:

OMG astro is missing... oh no wait there he is...

The only trend that acually exists is that if I don't post just before or during the game then I probably won't post immediately after the game either

Deffo hooked the fishes here. It all kicked off one one simple bit of bait.

  18. Lukaku is great and he's definitely ahead of Kane atm but I think Harry as a better all round game. You don't see Lukaku going to the wings and taking players on, Kane does!

Both get lots of goals so I think it really depends what else you want from your striker.

Ermmmm Kane has no pace at all, he couldn't outpace Carragher ffs

You must have missed the period that Martinez played Lukaku wide right <doh>. Put the ball in front of him and he'll take on any defender in the league for pace and power, he regularly skins players on the flank. Kane couldn't skin a rice pudding

All messing aside lukaku misses too many chances at this point. I've seen him have 4/5 really good chances and get one only. I've also seen him play lazily at times but I reckon he is bang on it now cos he is seeing a good season and then a move. And no I'm not baiting, I expect he is really looking forward to a big season and euros then a move.

I agree Kane is slow but he gets the goals. I would not buy him myself but there you go. If he were 25mil fine but 50? Nah the thing is if the change of tactics under a new set up doesn't suit him I could see him score nothing.
