That decent looking American blues singer was amazing.

No not the hootenanny! Never the hootenanny! We're better then that!

NYE for the over 50's demographic, a bit like modern football, even Weller looks old now, football and rock & roll are now archaic, still wheeling out Tom Jones ffs, whatever happened to the young gunslingers eh?

I loved it but was embarrassed for new order
they were my era, my top three song is
Love will tear us apart... If I listened last night
With my eyes closed I would have no scooby
Who was singing... Really breaks my heart to say that...

It was one of the only times Ian Curtis played guitar on a joy division
Song, I think they were supporting the buzzcocks and he wrote it for that..
In 1979.... What a ****ing year for music and I was 18

Ian Curtis would have been 60 this year and no doubt dueting with Tom Jones on the hootenanny, prefer the classic LWTUA frozen in eternity.

LWTUA isn't even in the top 5 Joy Division songs.

That isn't a criticism btw, the song is ****ing ace, but they did much better IMO.

I got an LP of Closer for Christmas, no idea why I didn't already have it to be honest.

What apart from the weeks of it being previewed even before the programme? (And it being mentioned when it was recorded...in March or something)

Was it a whoosh? I'm too fragile to know

Don't think Jeff Beck gets the credit he's deserves.

Streets a head of Page and Clapton as the greatest British Guitarist.

    Beck is definitely underrated.

Marr is still the greatest for me.
