Quality name indeed, this should be some fun too! how many days till the season starts, i mean hours!! i totally can't wait for the season kickoff!

 

I think one of the Swans sites online has a countdown ticker at the bottom of every page! 18 days something is it not?

Do you have a set of rules ready to publish? Do you want a few ideas that were thrown about during last years league? Some did seem sensible, and as they were sent in by the guys playing the league then they were ideas from the 'outside' so-to-speak.
1. If someone fails to submit a score for that week (for whatever reason), then they receive a score equal to the lowest actual scorer of that week. This means that if someone forgets/computer crashes/fails to pay the electrictiy bill etc - then they still have a chance when given the same as the lowest predict score for that week.
2. When you publish the weekly games, make one game a double pointer.
3. Give every predictor a joker to play every week, thus they have the chance to double up on points for any game of their choice.
NB You could actually play one of the above as the Swansea game for the week

2 years ago we had a lot of interest at the start of the league, hope you can keep everyone still 'in it' at Xmas.

I will be putting the rules up on friday night but to be honest with you the ideas you have put up are spot on and i will incorporate them into proceedings, i was actually wondering what to do about the non predictors and to be honest with you your suggestion is perfect for making sure that everyone has a fighting chance and they dont lose out excessively if they dont predict

Thanks Jackswan very much appreciated, i have arranged for 2 balls to be signed by this years squad and i intend giving the winner of each league a signed ball at the end of the season as a prize for winning their league. I was hoping we could have a get together next may somewhere at the end of the season, i will have a word with someone who is a big mate of leon brittons to see if he would join us and give them out. Its an idea that might come off

And anyone pulling out of the league will be punished by having to spend a night in a pub of their choice in swansea with daiswan, and here is the clincher they will have to buy the beer for dai all night.

Mabon. No problems at all. I wish you well in running the league this season. I had loads of time on my hands last year having just come out of hospital. This year I am back on the golf course and planning the searches for the sun in readiness for those cold dark days in this country.
Your idea of meeting up at the end of the season sounds good, but would you really want to meet some of the people on this site!!!!!!!!
Would Leon and the boys like to participate in the league? It wouldn't really be gambling on the outcome of the result would it?
