FFS I hope this is bullshit. We need defenders and players who know the league.

If McLaren pulled Bobby Moore and Franz Beckenbaur out of a time machine to sign a long contract his next thought would be which one partners Coloccini in centre defense.

Mbemba does cover more than his fair share of the work load and is just 21 too.

If we sign this guy then it is proof [if is still needed] that Graham Carr is a clueless, senile old bastard who is stealing a living at the club. I will say it again; this Saivet is absolute **** and if that is the level of player we are chasing then we are in trouble. We need defenders. Not from the ****ing French League either.

    Saivet's not a winger.

Your biggest problem area is LB and CM, this is a squad player who'd improve your squad in the mf.

Not great but will come cheap, leaving more funds for other players.

More physically suited to hit the ground running than some French players you've signed.

Maybe you'll be able to offload one of your eggs to Bordeaux as well, which would make it a sweeter deal.

We could send Gouffran back where he came from for example.

This one is all over the sports papers, saying it's as good as done?
Appears he is seen as a creative midfielder.
Probably means Sissoko is off, no great loss.
Only disappointment is that this is another untested French import, l was hoping we had learnt our lessons and would look for more tried and tested recruits.

If I was in charge of you guys I'd cough up the £10m needed for Austin, near enough proven goals even in a relegation threatened team.

Also so see if something can be done for Townsend. He's lively and has real pace and will offer a threat going forward. See if can either get on loan for rest of the season as Spurs seem to value him quite highly despite never playing him.

Apparently he's stalling the deal, because of our precarious league position.

On top of that he's no improvement on the useless Gauls we're struggling to get rid of.

I'd take Townsend. He does at least look to make things happen.

That would imply logic on our part.

For people banging on about Charlie Austin and he is proven in the Premiership and got goals for a relegated side - please, please remember Carl Cort!
