You have spectacularly missed the point! For that reason alone I will not be joining the protest on Saturday since you are associating it with more than the original aim, which was to change the RD,KM and KF axis I make no bones about the fact that I would like to see that change but all the other petty grievances you are putting into the mix I will not pretend to agree with and therefore will not protest with you.
That's a pity, SVC. It's not Nick's protest, he'll just be one individual in hopefully a large group. Murray is now losing all his credits with most fans, but you won't find anyone protesting against Peacock or Big Dave whatever their views. I've already said I won't be there for other reasons, but I'll be giving full backing to Reg and whatever group he is representing (unless there is yet another potential buyer). I can't see any reason not to. The fact that he was looking at alternatives to The Valley was a long time ago, why would he want to do that now that he's involved with Ebbsfleet?
Scratching, it was my post therefore you should address your problems to me rather than Nick, Olly Groome -- I was just doing my job ... isn't that what the Concentration Camp Guards said after WW2? Mr & Mrs Parkes -- Mr Parkes should not discuss his Employer's private matters with his wife especially when said wife finds it impossible not to post this information on social media, Jase -- as I said in my post, he chose to side with the Belgians against the fans.... his choice and then we come to Keith Peacock . .. ... Yes I was around to see KP play as well, I too saw him as Mr Charlton but he has clearly sided with the Belgians and they are trying to destroy Charlton!
But you didn't answer my question Disingenuous to say the least. Hard to believe that one fans views about Keith Bloody Peacock are stopping you from attending the protest.
When 8,000 Charlton fans stood up at the Wolves game and chanted "stand up if you want them out", people who could see the Liar reported that she was grinning. Who was sitting either side of the Liar during the game? Richard Murray and Keith Peacock. Shame, utter shame, on both of them.
KP is a totally different kettle of fish from RM though. KP has seen so many employers come and go at Charlton in his time, what would happen to him if he went public with his opinions on all of them? He just has to get on with things, same as I did when the dreadful Adam Crozier was sacked from the FA and so put in charge of Royal Mail. A question for Vol- would you pack up your job if Jeremy Corbyn became PM? I know it ain't gonna happen, but just supposing?
Its not just about Peacock or Dave Lockwood or others that are raised on here. Olly Groome and Dave Lockwood are "just doing their job" . They could stop and have to find other employment but why should they. You work in the House I don't see you resigning because you don't agree with the government? Who next ?- maybe one of the stewards that control the gangways stops people giving to close attention to KM - he to is just doing his job. Any attempt to align them with the guards at Auschwitz is extremely poor taste as well as being factually wrong this is not a case of life or death whatever Bill Shankly may have said. The best pressure is brought when it is a single issue and a single focus. Either in Europe or out, not "in Europe or out and by the way I don't like the security guard around Cameron - let's have them out as well." You are diluting the message with personal views that not everyone can get behind.
Did either of them grin or laugh? I seriously doubt it. Peacock would be appalled that the fan base has been so alienated and Murray would be upset that they are destroying any chance that he will get his investment back. I doubt that either would find it funny
I can't see anyone being targetted at the protests except the Belgian mafia. It just won't happen. The protest will be purely about getting them out, unless there are a couple of CASTrust voices chanting "We want dialogue, say we want dialogue" which would provide some light amusement.
That's fine Scratching but where does 'just doing my job' finish and 'being responsible' start?.... Carol is just doing his job isn't he?..... The Bitch is just doing her job isn't she? Personally I have lost all respect for Groome, the Parkes and especially Keith Peacock, in my eyes they are no longer 'Charlton' people and I would far rather they had nothing to do with the club I have supported for over 40 years.... but yes Scratching, the most important issue facing fans today is to get rid of the current owner. The others can wait.
The protest is about RD KM and KF if anyone has other people to protest about up to them BUT to not demonstrate for that reason nah ...the only reason not to demonstrate is if you are happy with Roland and co if not ...Demonstrate
There are around 18,000 empty seats in the Valley on match days - Keith Peacock chooses to sit in the one next to Katrien Meire every time. He is a Yes Man and a fool in my eyes. Talking of which, that other prize twat Murray said yesterday that he genuinely believes that Carol Fry is the right man for the job. God help us.
Murray has lost any significance now, he's held in contempt, and he's earned it. KP still has enough credits though in my book. He is as you say a yes-man, that's how he's always seen his position. Even when he had lost respect for his manager Andy Nelson he still did his job because he saw it as his duty. I don't mind seeing these figures from the past around the club, I miss seeing Gritty at Sparrows Lane, haven't seen him for ages. And Killer hasn't been spotted for a while.
Does anyone else wonder what motivates Murray to keep behaving like this? Despite the absolute carnage, and a civil war within the Club, he has said yet again he believes in both Duchatelet's approach, and Fry as manager! Has it just gone beyond stubbornness and into mental illness with him. He can't admit that he is wrong?
I cannot think of any logical reason why/how Murray has done a complete about turn unless he now carries a Belgian passport. It is as clear as day that Fraeye and the whole recruitment policy is shot to pieces. Murray MUST know this, or has he completely lost leave of his senses. Shame on you Richard Murray.
In a conversation with Rick, and he compared criticism of Carol's appointment with criticism he received over Curbs' appointment. The man's living in the past.
I have spoken to Richard Murray today. He rang me last night and again this morning, when I was able to respond, and I give him credit for that. I'm not going to relate the conversation in detail as I don't think that would be appropriate, but suffice to say it wasn't a meeting of minds. A lot was about Peter Varney and none of that was new to me. However, I will say, which in fact I already knew from other sources, that he is supportive of Karel Fraeye and the RD regime in general and does not accept my contention that they are destroying the club. He compared criticism of RD/KM over Fraeye to criticism he got over appointing Curbishley. I pointed out that Curbs did not come from the Belgian third division. RM says he is willing to talk to Varney and talk to RD about what PV says, but given what else he has to say about PV I don't personally think that is a realistic way forward.
